Preident's Limo...

Still, President Obama will be a targeted man come January 20th, when he's inaugurated as US President. So, the Cadillac One is shod in three-inch thick bulletproof glass and eight-inch think armour plating, and is hermetically sealed to protect him from a chemical weapons attack. It has a 10-disc CD changer, though, so it's not all doom-and-gloom.

There's a night vision camera in the front, and shotguns and tear gas cannons are stored in the flanks. There's even a few bottles of Obama's blood in there in case he needs an emergency transfusion - though who'll perform the operation is unclear.

The petrol tank is filled with a foam that prevents it from exploding along with a panic button in the Presidential quarters, as well as a satellite phone linking the car directly to the Whitehouse. The tyres are Kevlar reinforced and puncture-resistant, too, and cover wheels that can still work even if the tires are blown off.

That said, it's never getting anywhere particularly fast, as it has a 0-100 km per hour time of 15 seconds and 3.40km per hour fuel consumption, so at the equivalent of about $534,000 it probably provides the worst price-to-performance ratio of any car ever.

I would imagine that most people see through these commercials

I think most people would see through it...but it's like the presidential campagne.
When you are desparate you start knocking the competition instead of stating your best points. Sad

isell....gotta say, the Accord's heated seats aren't as good as those in the Tahoe. Not bad, though. You get two settings......warm....and "fry an egg".

In the Tahoe, you get 3....warm, warmer, and "boil water".

This a.m., when it was -6, I used the "boil water" setting for a couple of minutes....then back down to warm, which was perfect.

HVAC in recent cars have come a long way. Even a few years ago, I can remember setting either heat or A/C, and having to wait until I drove 5 miles before either would happen effectively. Now, in either the Accord, or Tahoe, I've got heat or A/C before I've travelled a 1/2 mile (took a little longer this morning, though).

Just heard that Carmax is calling it quits. Not sure if it is chapter 11 or maybe worse.

EDIT... OOPS !! I may have misunderstood this report. It may have just been something about Circuit City at one time being involved with Carmax...sorry.

"Thought I had the service writer talked into letting me use a 'vette", that is, until he spoke to the Service Manager."

Whenever I take my TL to the dealer for service (rarely!), I ask for the loaner NSX. Amazingly, each and every time, the NSX was just given to the customer just before me!

That's fairly old technology. They should have had a stereo with an iPod jack or a hard drive.

We were at -18 on my outdoor thermometer this morning!!! Was only supposed to be -10 to -5.

Hey, are some posters from the northern states missing some Artic air? We found it in West Central Ohio. Come and take it home.
