I had the last ticket on the last flight out of Chicago before they closed the airport due to ice and snow. Why do I remember this so well? There are two reasons. My friend's Pontiac GTO died on the way to the terminal, and I nearly missed my flight. Secondly, we damaged the landing gear on take-off because we hit a block of ice and snow that the ground crew missed. It was repaired in-flight. I've never been so glad to get off of a plane in my life. I haven't returned to your city since then. Richard |

Replying to: snakeweasel (Jan 13, 2009 5:22 pm) BTW, the offer is for new buys and is only for one year after purchase. While it is physically possible to drive 160K miles in one year, let's say it isn't likely. Even you needed a few years for that, haven't you? 25 cent/mile clause is not unheard of, but it usually is used in $30K+ lux cars low-payment lease offers for overmileage penalty, not Hyundai-like class. I would say, it's obviously a gimmick that is not great, but may work for some people - especially considering (still) poor resale value of the car. |
