IMO I think 2 plates are dumb... I know I'll get flamed but I do.
May I ask why?

For one vehicles today have not been designed to have one. My Impala's front bumper doesn't have a place unless it is tacked on and then it looks just like that - tacked on. Take the many cars out there like the Corvette, Viper, Solstice, Sky, or any number of vehicles, not just sports cars. The front is not designed to have a front plate on it.
That is the biggest reason - If automakers would design there fronts to incorporate a plate like they do the rears it wouldn't look half as bad...

We need to use Euro style plates.
Thinner and longer so they fit better on pointy nosed vehicles.

Maryland requires a front plate, Delaware does not.

I wish I owned a business that was so profitable I could take in expensive inventory and never sell it.
The newest car in the collection is a 1976, so I think the owner of the dealership collected these for himself. Not for resale.

now I have to mar the bumper on my Imp because I moved to a 2 plate state
IMO I think 2 plates are dumb... I know I'll get flamed but I do.
I agree 2 plates are dumb. In Ohio we have the 2 plate law, but every state that borders us are 1 plate states.

Actually, since I don't feel like putting just the plat on the car, I was thinking I would get the plate holder from the dealer provided it isn't 3 arms and 2 legs.... until then the front stays clear. It might even stay that way until an officer says so. I might even do that for my truck, even though it's front bumper is actually designed for a plate. It still has the remnants of a plate frame and a Superman plate that some how got banged around ... I just haven't removed the remaining pieces.
