I had a half serious plan for several years to PEDAL to the show. I figured if I wore a T-shirt that said something like I PEDALED 2,100 MILES FROM ST. LOUIS TO SEE THE PRICE IS RIGHT they might select me as a contestant. I'd planned on taking 10 days to do the ride. Bob retired before I worked out the details and I lost interest after that. One thing that I always noticed on the show is that I never saw them have any import vehicles listed as prizes. I didn't watch every show, so there may have been a few episodes where they slipped one in.

Since we've got a number of discussions in which consumers can share their shopping stories, this topic is specifically for salespeople to share their stories, good and bad. Consumers are welcome to read and ask questions, but no "bashing," please! If you disagree with the salesperson's perspective, that's the breaks Wow.... good stuff. So if consumers here disagree with a story they have to keep quiet.... Before I ever came here that was how this forum was described to me. Anyway most of the stuff here is just like the front lines.... GP |

Replying to: kirstie_h (Jul 08, 2008 4:50 am) And they gave me an education in how to negotiate. Saved me so much money in non-car purchases that I was going to share some of it with all of them. Then you hosts shut the forum down before I could get their addresses. While I was waiting for it to open back up I spent all the money on some Sam Addams Summer Ale. Sorry guys. |

Replying to: oldfarmer50 (Jul 08, 2008 7:05 am) They gave me's a edumacation too olds farmer. Like from now on when I go to a dealership to gets me a vee-hicle... instead of axeing for a salesman, I'll use proper terminology and axe for an "order taker". Them guys will be so impressed, they'll lay down and gladly let me bash them like a baby eel. edited: You got any of that Sammy Adams left? Kinda thirsty now that you mention it. |
