I hear you little brother. We hit 106 on Saturday, 100 on Sunday, and I don't know what the temp is today but I just spent an hour with a couple of flakes! This is not my weekend, and monday is not starting out that great either.

"I have never seen a Toyota sticker/invoice before. What makes them so hard to comprehend? If they are any thing like ours they are pretty self explanatory. "

It's really very simple Joel. Some people don't have the capacity to understand simple English and basic math.

Back in the late 80's or early 90's Toyota was sued in California over "hidden fees". This suit required that Toyota Motor Sales USA list every fee on their invoices like dealer holdback, wholesale financial reserve, TDA, Destination Charge (called Delivery, handling, and processing fee on the Monroney sticker), and gasoline. This opened up a big can of worms since customers that have an invoice fetish and want to see the invoice always to not pay the fees. Before the lawsuit it was listed as:
Dealer invoice: Retail:
Base price: xxx Base price: xxxx
Options: xxx Options: xxxx
Freight xxx Destination charge: xxxx

Obviously you never negotiated a car deal with them.

Yep. It's got a big old blindspot. That's been the only complaint from buyers.
You know I have not seen a Pilot in person yet, only the pictures that are circulating around the net. What's up with all manufacturers putting big ugly chrome grilles on their vehicles?

I bartered with them over carpets and furniture while we were over there. It was fun to haggle. Perhaps I should have been a car salesman. Good grief!!! What did I just say?!!! I've been out in the heat too long today.

A 1928 high school building?! Poor children. Your state legislators and your local school board should be burned at the stake.

To stay on topic: I hope your school buses aren't more than ten years old. The least that they can do is get them to and from school safely.

We are trying this new thing in our schools called air conditioning. Seems to work pretty well, regardless if it is a standard 105 degree day in August outside it is still nice and cool inside.

Do all the kids in TN go to school in August or just the ones that weren't paying attention from September through May?

We here in the Burgh area are due for a return to normal temp. (low to mid 80's) by the end of tomorrow. We've had low to mid 90's for 4 days now. Today while coming home on the PA Turnpike my car outside thermometer said 95 while cruising at 70 MPH. When I was stopped in traffic about a mile from home it read 98 but that was radiated heat from the road, my car and other cars but still that is what it was to the joggers going by. Now those people are nuts.

Ha many of the school buildings in this area are of that era or slightly newer. Where I went to Middle school in Virginia was the old black high school when Virginia schools were still segregated. I think it was built in the 30s and it showed.
