We are trying this new thing in our schools called air conditioning. Seems to work pretty well, regardless if it is a standard 105 degree day in August outside it is still nice and cool inside.

I'm glad that Larmar Alexander did SOMETHING for your schools when he was Secretary of Education. He certainly didn't do anything else for education in this country. In fact, he sent his children to private schools while he boasted about public schools in Tennessee. What a jerk.
To stay on topic: I bet that he didn't drive a Ford.

"...at what temperature does the much-complained-about cost of gas suddenly become less important..."
I think it would be the temperature that the engine over-heats and ruins itself at.

I guess i did make it sound like I was complaining, but not really. I did build a fire in the wood stove today, then an hour later had the doors open becuase it got too hot.
I can tell you my tomato plants don’t like this weather, they need some of that southern heat.

I hear you little brother. We hit 106 on Saturday, 100 on Sunday, and I don't know what the temp is today but I just spent an hour with a couple of flakes! This is not my weekend, and monday is not starting out that great either.
