With all the ongoing talks about how the color of a car affects the temperature of a car, I can't resist posting the first couple of paragraphs from a article out Boston.com.... They are writing a article about how Conn. schools are closing early do to the temperatures being in 90's... Here it is HARTFORD, Conn.—Dozens of schools districts across Connecticut closed early Monday as temperatures topped 90 degrees for the second consecutive day. more stories like thisThe National Weather Service issued heat and air quality advisories for much of the state. The city of Hartford also opened free cooling stations so people could find relief from the sweltering heat. "Literally, you could cook an egg off the hood of a black car today. It just takes the starch out of you," said Jim Cordier, director of social and health services for nearby East Hartford, which opened a cooling station for senior citizens Now that's a knee slapper gP

I can't believe places of business and schools are shutting down. Its only JUNE! What the heck will happen in July? We'll just shut those places down for the rest of the summer. How's that? We were out yesterday and noticed a car sitting idling in the parking lot of a strip mall. I assume because the owner wanted the AC to continue to run while he/she was doing her/his shopping. I couldn't help but wonder: at what temperature does the much-complained-about cost of gas suddenly become less important? And, on the flip side of that, how much does gas need to cost for people to suffer a few minutes of discomfort while driving before their car heats up or cools down to their desired temperature? |

Replying to: qbrozen (Jun 09, 2008 1:03 pm) If it was (AC) left on to keep a pet cool, I applaud them. If it was left on so they would not cook their little a$$ then I pity them.
