| Are supposedly the "kiss of death" in Florida as far as trade-in & resale goes, but to go with what Isellhondas said, look how many Black on Black cars there are in Southern California. It gets just as hot in California as it does in Florida. | |
well, I have a silver car with black leather. Never, ever, again. CLoth interiors stay much cooler, and the grayish leather in our other car also does not get as hot.

As mentioned earlier, the right car with a spoiler might look OK, but I’m not in that market. I did test drive an Impala last year that had a very light gray leather that was nice, although I did wonder how well it hold up to dirt and stains. |

Replying to: dhamilton (Jun 08, 2008 12:50 pm) Well it makes all the difference in the world to me. I’ve walked over half of that. I can well afford to spend $400 to buy a car and get out of that showroom now but I’ll be damned if I’m going to throw around money like that. You can consider this not only my statement but the opinion of most car buyers I think when I grow up and decide on what profession I’ll pursue; it’ll be car sales because the 40 hour a week job I had for 40 years didn’t get my head in the right place. 2. I've been in the car business now for a little while and I've never seen a lighter color interior be cooler than a darker one. I sell BMW's in Texas where the humidity is very high. All interiors get hot, color is irrelevant. It's not an opinion I promise. Well I have noticed that color makes a difference; both inside and outside colors. I’ve been to Texas and I noticed that the laws of physics apply there just like every other place I’ve been to. You’re opinion is dead wrong about this, I promise. jmonroe
