To our wonderful Hosts: Have you noticed that on the subject line, the sender's name is running in to "save, edit, and reply"? Considering how "off topic" some of us have been lately, who are we to complain? Richard |

Replying to: greanpea68 (May 19, 2008 11:30 am) My "buddy" Frank sold a used Sienna to a young Hispanic customers. He worked them for two days. First night they were in together and took the van overnight. The next day he returned the van and did a little more negotiating. That evening the wife comes in by herself trying to get a better deal and he tells her this: "Look I went in there to fight for you. I got them to take $500.00 off the price. I've spent all this time with you so I have to be compensated for my time." So she says, "In other words you want a bigger commission right?" and Frank says. "Oh no ma'am I'm not on commission. I get paid a salary." Me and my buddy Tiny are in the next cubicle and hear every word and just shake our heads and roll our eyes. After the customer is gone we see him outside and say: "So you're on a salary? How much are they paying you?" he laughs and thinks we are joking. "I had to sell a car." he says. And Tiny tells him "So you are saying it's ok to lie to a customer." more as a statement than a question. So Frank says "I didn't lie to her, I just stretched the truth a bit." and I say "It sure sounded like lies to me." and he walks away. And for you baseball fans, here's a nice collector's card!

Replying to: jipster (May 18, 2008 1:54 pm) The only time I was able to get a kid kicked off my bus on the spot was when a fine young man pointed a gun at my head and told me to "Get moving or I'll blow you away". The gun turned out to be a replica. I was not amused. Speaking of guns, have any of the sales folks ever had a customer use a gun as a bargaining tool? |
