Oh yeah when I put that on there at first the bottom of the truck was actually touching the rock. I pulled forward a couple of inches so it was not touching.

I backed right over that huge boulder with minimial throttle. I was probably using 10% throttle or less.

Oh I will do better then that pretty soon. I just set up a youtube account for myself and the dealership. I am going to start taking videos of our used cars for display on our website. I can use my personal account to share some videos of stuff with our cars if it is ok with the hosts. I will make sure you cannot see the dealership name anywhere on the videos.

you know the old saying: 'blood is thicker than water'.
besides, this person only take cars so they can get around for a fews days until caught again.

Oh, I get it now, a thief in the family who only steals on an as needed basis.

Give me some time to check if that's legal in my neighborhood and I'll get back to you.

i never said i condoned that conduct. now, if he had a drivers' licence, i could maybe see him trying to wangle a test drive from some unsuspecting salesperson.
i'm sure it has happened.
jmonroe... i'm sorry if this upsets you. it was not my intention to do that to anyone.

No need to apologize, I'm not that thin skinned.

I accede with you. My experience with our local dealer is perhaps the exception to most of the folks in that we are a small town with a Yota dealership just outside St. Louis. Our local dealership has grown over the last three years due to word of mouth and the quality of Toyota. The salesmen do not work on commission. And they have talked straight with me for 20 years. They have always simply given the best deal and that is that. I did test them against two dealers in St. Louis and was satisfied that both those dealers wanted me to "work" my way to what our local dealer offered initially. Bottomline: my time is valuable. I am not prone to driving around from lot to lot and shoot the breeze with salesmen who are paid to make me work at a deal. My wife just bought an 07 Solara and the deal was EZ. We got a terrific deal from the reading I see in these forums and they even provided us a free pin striping on the car as they have for 20 years.

There is no place like home.
