Replying to: snakeweasel (Oct 29, 2007 4:07 am) I'm going to put this into car talk perspective. It sounds like someone bought a new car from 'joel' (he's pretty close to the culprit), who then drove over to jipsters, got 'jips' Kirby then did what you said. jmonroe |

Replying to: greanpea68 (Oct 29, 2007 7:57 am) There is also a big difference between a turo charged car and a supercharged car. All cars lose power at altitude. But yes, above 4000 feet you can used lower octane fuel.

Replying to: cdnpinhead (Oct 29, 2007 9:15 am) That is also true at higher elevation which is where cars drive, i.e. on the ground. Airplanes fly at altitude. tidester, host SUVs and Smart Shopper |

Replying to: greanpea68 (Oct 29, 2007 12:10 pm) Aren't you a Nissan guy? If so, is premium required in the Maxima? I think I recall that premium is recommended. Does this mean premium is recommended in order to get the absolute max engine output, HP, or whatever??? ...or does this mean that it is recommended to keep your engine damage free and to obtain the max engine life, etc. There's a big difference in the potential outcome, IMO, depending on how one interprets "recommended." What's the "Nissan" inside view on this? The Maxima may be on my list of candidates in a few years, but not if I have to run premium fuel in it....I would gravitate towards an Avalon or something.
