Racing teams are left with precious few big-name drivers and a lot of question marks. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061012/AUTO01/610120364/1148- Rocky |

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Toyota's entry into NASCAR Nextel Cup Series racing featured mediocre performance and a rules-violation controversy as stock-car Speedweek activities got the green flag at Daytona International Speedway. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=119566 Is Toyota, trying to cheat to win the "Great American" Race ? Infractions were also foung on all 3 Evernham Motosport cars (DODGES), and those 3 crew cheifs were suspended. I wouldn't say Toyota is trying to cheat...I think a lot of teams, regardless of make, try to push the envelope.

And, as I pointed out earlier, 1 Ford, and 3 Dodges were also found with violations as well, so this is not an issue specifically about Toyota cheating. Anyone familiar with NASCAR knows that most of the teams try to push the envelope, and the brand (Toyota, Ford, Chevy, Dodge) has nothing to do with that. It has more to do with the actual employees of the race teams, and what they are willing to try.
