#29 of 34 Update TPM by andysd

Dec 02, 2011 (12:08 pm)

I got some good data yesterday that helps me understand the system on my car. On a 2011 Honda Fit, the TPM icon came on. I checked the tires and found 28 all around. I pumped them up to 30, and after about 20 miles, the light went off.

Contrary to at least one comment, the spare tire is not monitored.

Further update: the tpm indicator came on again after I pumped the tires to 30, so I pumped them to the specified 33 and the indicator immediately extinguished.

Recapping, with 2011 Honda Fit, TPM light came on, pumped from 28 to 30, light went off after 20 miles. Update: after a couple of days the light came back on, so I pumped to specified 33 psig, and light went off immediately, and has stayed off.

I recently a problem with a tire monitor. Even thought all four tires are fill with full capcity, the tire signal still stays on. Anyone out there having this problems?

Can your instrument panel or information display (if your car has one) display the actual pressure readings?
