Absolutely! FWD aside, I find the prior-gen TL to be the closest Japanese sedan design to my '03 e39 530i. Hanging on to my BMW, but find the prior TL to be a terrific design... tidy dimensions, fairly elegant lines, nice interior design without the need to make it look like a teenager's study-hall doodle.

Did you go looking for a used car and find that prices were so high that it made more sense to buy a new car instead? Or found that your trade-in was worth a lot more than you expected?

#78 of 81 CTS wagon not available in Central Texas

I am seriously considering the CTS wagon. I was shocked to find out that none of the 3 cadillac dealers in central texas had Any 2011's in stock. They say "wagons" aren't popular in Central Texas. I will see if I can get my hands on one to test drive. If I like it I'll have to have them order it.. Do you think I can get a good deal if a dealer orders a vehicle?
Thanks
JFD

Ken Batchelor Cadillac in Austin has several. That's probably an hour or two drive from where you are.

jfdsccm,
The price of the vehicle shouldn't be different due to if the vehicle is ordered or in stock. I would recommend visiting the brand web site and using the live web chat option. They are able to locate vehicles in your area. Web chat is able to assist with pre-purchase questions such as availibity of different features, differences in trim levels, as well as incentives; however, they don’t have specific pricing or payment information. Web chat agents can also assist you in requesting a quote or locating a dealer, and using the different tools on the web site. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me.

I was in this situation. I was driving a 2005 Buick LeSabre with 105k miles on it that had been basically bulletproof. I had owned it since 2008.
I wanted to move up to a more sporty car that my kids would not make fun of for being a "grandpa car" (I am 44!). I wanted something that would be decent in the snow, as we get plenty around here. So, I started looking at AWD sports sedans. Drove the Audi A4, MB C300, BMW and Caddy CTS. Ended up going with the CTS, found a 2010 with the performance package and 3.6 DI motor, AWD and have now owned it for about 10 days and 400 miles. Great car so far, does everything that I want without being too much of a "boy racer" and my price for it with 8800 miles was right at $32k, so in the range you are asking about. Will see how it goes long term, hopefully it is as reliable as my old Buick was!
