I drove the 2008 BMW 328i and 2008 Accord EX L V6 sedans today and was surprised that it was the Accord that was peppier off the line! To get decent low-end power in a 3 Series, one has to ante up big bucks for the 335i. Ridiculous!
On the Accord downside, as I am 6'2", when I had the driver's seat all the way back for my legs, I found that the telescoping steering wheel couldn't pull out far enough to match the seat. It was thus, quite an uncomfortable reach to the steering wheel.
Another thing-there doesn't seem to be much rear glass back there-the view out back seemed awfully narrow and constricted. Not a word about this in any of the reviews.
Overall though, as to acceleration, steering, cornering and braking, Honda did a fine job with the 2008 EX L V6 Accord sedan. Simply a terrific V6 engine.
Today was my third test drive of 3 different 2008 Accord EX L V6 sedans in 2 months-all about 20 minutes each-on streets and highway. The VCM was TOTALLY unnoticeable in each case and believe me, I was looking for problems.
As a BMW driver since 1993, I could certainly change over to this fine vehicle. For less than $30,000 OTD, this is a no-brainer.
But then again, I love that darn Acura MDX even more!!
When my BMW 545i lease is up on July 31st, one of these superb Honda/Acura vehicles will most likely end up in my driveway.

Hello. I want to add a Nivigation in my 2008 honda accord coupe V6.... I thought having the car without the navi was better, but now I want one.
Should I do an Aftermarket addition to the car like a pioneer in dash, or should I get a portable one like TOMTOM

I've been using a Mio 520 GPS since I've had my 08 EXL-V6 and it hasn't failed me yet. Very feature laden, easy to use and has the ability to switch out to my wife's car if needed. Around $300 and your good to go.

Adding a built in navigation after you buy the car makes no sense.
If you really need a gps now, get a portable.
What happened that made you suddenly want gps now if you didn't have it or need it in your old car?

I suggest getting a TomTom. I use the ONE XL-S and really like it, especially because it is portable so I can bring it with me when I travel and can bring it with me in someone else's car if we need it. The one I have has great features, I love the text to speech. I highly recommend it.

If in your situation,I'd get a portable such as the TomTom or Garmin units.

Hmmm. A new Accord or a new Passat. Accord - very reliable car. Passat - has definite reliability issues. I know from personal experience. In 2005 I traded in my 2003 Passat GLX for an Accord EX-L, 4 cyl and I haven't regretted that trade even once. According to Consumer Reports, the Passat still suffers from less than average reliability. Service on the VW is very expensive. Oil changes cost me $59.00, compared to $21.00 on the Accord. Every few months of ownership, I had to take the VW in for repair of electrical gremlins (thank heaven for the 50,000 mi warranty.) Only service done on my Accord in 49,000 miles is just regular schedule maintenance. Much as I wanted to really love the Passat, it just did not live up to my expectations.

I am looking to buy a 2008 Accord EX Sedan (4 cyl). I have never bought a car through a dealer before so I am curious on what price would be a good deal. I have spoken with a couple of dealers and they stated that they would give it to me for $22,272, which is $200 over his invoice.

I assume it is automatic. See if they will give you splash gaurds and body side molding at that price. If they do, that is a decent price. If they don't, leave and wait a few weeks.
2008 Accord body side molding is far better than Camry, Malibu, or Sonata's. It is a must with new d tall door design and no factory ding protection.

Yes it is an automatic. If they don't include the splash guards and body sidd moulding and I leave should I go back after a few weeks or go to another dealer?
