I own a 2004 Nissan Titan LE 4x4. To tell you the truth, I would own any other truck before a Nissan Titan, again. I bought it with the big tow package in hopes to tow a toy hauler, later. But at 30 months, and 24000 miles Nissan has stopped backing its bumper to bumper warranty. So I had to pay $800 for my fourth set of rotors and brake pads, and I haul jack in this truck. It has left me stranded twice in the middle of the desert when the Body Control Module fails, which causes the instrument cluster and transmission to lose power. My philosophy is if even Nissan won't back its crappy product why should I?

enough to have the big three consider it the new "benchmark." See how much the big three is going to worry when the New Titan hits the streets.
The current titan is light years behind the Silverado, Sierra, Tundra. The new F150 is coming out along with a new Ram in 2009. I'm yet to see spy pics of the new Titan, until then it's more wishful thinking isn't it than reality.
P.S. How much american content does that Titan have ?

I dunno about "light years" once the new one rolls out with the diesel in MY10 it'll be in the running for top honors.

I agree, "light years" would be an understatement. Nissan Titans would be a much greater distance behind. Oh God, Nissan trying diesel, Top Honors for most defective truck, just like everything else Nissan tries to debute. Nissan should actually try engineering a vehicle prior to its release versus making customers go through the nightmare after they bought a vehicle while Nissan is trying to fix defects during ownship.

Mike, its ok; you can't handel the truth.
When are you going to realize that if you stop backing a written warranty it is violation of federal law. If you produce a brand new vehicle that gets repaired over 20 times, that is not a quality product. If you release a vehicle with a brake defect, and than only provide 36 month, 36000 mile solutions versus life time solutions, you should be held accountable for your actions and decisions. If you get a vehicle with electronic issues, and hold it for 3 days, then say "unable to replicate", and the vehicle brakes down on the next use you should be held accountable. If you elect to try to get a customer to "trade in" a vehilce versus fixing the vehicle they already purchased you should be held accountable. If you state to your customer "all brakes on SUV/trucks judder, your vehicle has no problems," only to take a vehicle to a real professional and see the warped rotors than you should be held accountable. If you fail to reprogram the vehicle after replacing the computer, and then blame the customer you should be held accountable. If you fail to repair the brake system after 4 attempts of replacing the brake pads and rotors you should be held accoutable. If you fail to repair the electrical issues after 4 attempts, you should be held accountable. If your product leaves a customer stranded on more than one occasion, out of cell phone range, in the middle of no-where you should be held accountable. Bottomline, Nissan produced a defective product, would not fix it properly, lied and deceived me, broke federal law by not honoring a their own written warranty, and than tried to extort more money out of me!>
People that are researching vehicles should know of other experiences prior to the purchase of their next vehicle because the pruchase goes beyond features and price; especially when lives depend on the proper safety and fuctioning of vehicle and ethical dealings of the manufacturer and their independently owned franchises. Obviously, in my situation it was more than one dealership and numerious visits, so the problem is not an isolated incident. Which is the great thing about these forums, people can read the nightmare I had to go through with Nissan and weigh that in their decision prior to the purchase of the vehicle. Or like in your case, ignore all the unethical behavior and violation of law, and reliablity concerns and just say "that won't happen to me."

The point I'm making is you are shooting yourself in the foot. People reading these message boards have already seen your posts and either agree with you or don't. The only thing you are doing by constantly posting in the SAME DISCUSSIONS is breaking up the flow of the boards.
You can be upset and post about how Nissan has wronged you, I only ask that you post it 1 or 2 times per thread on here, not EVERY SINGLE POST.

By the way, if you've read any of my posts, you'd know I did in fact have the brake issues. At 3,000 miles on my 04 Armada the rotors were warped, Nissan replaced them under warranty with the upgraded rotors, pads and brackets. It has then been fine til I wore out the pads at 30k miles and at that time resurfaced the rotors which had pad deposits and new pads put on. Again under warranty, no questions asked.
I guess I'm just lucky. I also tow a 6,000lb boat trailer and will be towing a 9000lb boat trailer with confidence this summer with it. Again I must just be lucky with my 2004 as well as the 3 dealers I have delt with (1 the original selling dealer, and 2 different repairing dealer)

Lucky you. Glad to see Nissan discriminately applies warranty standards; no questions asked in your case and lies and deception in my case. What should make you a perferred customer that your vehicle has less defects than mine? Obviously, you happy with Nissan because your on the other end of the spectrum in terms of Nissan policy. Now, what would you be saying about Nissan if they put your life needlessly at risk, told you they wouldn't honor your warranty, and the vehicle leaves you stranded mutliple times, and your taking it in every week for repair, 75 miles one way, to get it repaired, and mutliple times to get a single repair done correctly.

I'm not saying you are right or wrong, I'm just saying that limit your posts to 1 "nissan did the wrong thing for me" post per thread. If people ask you for more info then by all means respond, but it seems you just keep repeating yourself over and over IN THE SAME THREAD. Trust me, I had a Ford Escort where the AT trans went bad and they never did the right thing for me. I repeated the story for any that would listen, however I didn't make it a PITA for folks to read a board by reciting the same thing to the same audience over and over.
