Have 2 basic questions I was hoping to get some help on from you experts. 1.) If a vehicle has say a 51% Residual .. do you use the MSRP price or the final sale price when calculating this figure? 2.) Are Rebates to be subtracted from the MSRP or the final sale price? I know .. I know .. I should already know the answer to this, but I have to admit that I don't.

Replying to: jdubb2 (Jan 16, 2008 5:48 pm) Rebates are part of the negotiation. If a dealer quotes a final price, you need to ask if that is with or without the rebates. What you ideally want is a price something like $100 over invoice OR LESS and THEN subtract the rebates. So if $2k in rebates, then you want $2k under invoice as your final price. |
