Replying to: rwyatt80 (Jun 09, 2009 3:22 pm) Depending on your mileage, your o2 sensor may still be covered on the the Honda FACTORY recall. Its covered for up to 13years or 130k miles iirc. I was running some errands the other day and looked down at my temperature gauge to find that it was well beyond the red. So as soon i got home i shut the car off and popped the hood to take a look at the coolant level to find that it was bone dry. I also noticed that two hoses, the upper and the lower, were collapsed. Does this mean that the hoses were old and just needed replaced or is there something else going on that would have caused this to happen? Anyone with some advise would be much appreciated. Replying to: zguy77 (Jun 22, 2009 7:18 pm) The system does create a small vacuum when cooling down which then draws coolant from the overflow tank. If both hoses are collapsed, I would suspect the radiator cap is not opening/closing. Another possibility may be the overflow tube by the radiator cap to the tank is plugged.   Mrbill

Replying to: zguy77 (Jun 28, 2009 5:23 pm) It should turn off by itself in under 50 miles from the service. If not, take it back as something is wrong. I once had service done where a vacuum seal wasn't reconnected properly and this is why my engine light stayed on.

Replying to: zguy77 (Jun 28, 2009 5:23 pm) To turn the check engine light off. 1. Turn the ignition switch off. 2. Remove the BACK-UP (7.5 A) fuse from the under hood fuse/relay box for 10 seconds to reset the ECM. The fuse/relay box is on the passenger side near the firewall and hood hinge.

Replying to: tigeriii (Jun 30, 2009 6:37 pm) Yes, I believe it could. If the TCM is malfunctioning to the point where it thinks it's in gear, the engine will not start. Not saying it is definitely the problem, but it could be. When the TCM went out in my 92 Accord heat was a major factor. The hotter it was inside the car, the more problems it would cause.
