Am I getting a good deal. by custureri

I have been in and out of the Lexus dealership here in Annapolis, MD twice now.

The current offer that stands on the table is:
IS250 w/ AWD, HID, AFB M
MSRP: $36,815
Negotiated: $33,616 OTD (including tax/tags/title)
Down Payment: $4,500
Lease terms: 39mnt/15k
APR: 4.9%

What should I expect my monthly payment to be?

Find the lease / buy calculator here on Edmunds.com and plug your numbers in. If this is a lease offer you can find the money factor by dividing 4.9% by 2400 which equals .00204. Which does not seem all that great. Not sure what Lexus is offering right now for a money factor. Down payment seems a bit excessive but I don't know what is included in that amount.

Shop that number around a couple of other dealers and I bet you can do better. You pretty much need to "walk" out a couple times and have them chase you down. You might even make it home or the next day before you get a call back. It's a buyers market right know so your are in the drivers. Just keep saying It's too much. Don't let them make it cheaper by extending the time frame or increasing the down. If they wear you down, leave and go back another time. Do Not sign anything just to get it over with. I doubt they will employ any of these tactics as it is a Lexus dealer and they tend to not "hard sale" their customers. It is a tight maket though and they must sell cars.

I should have added some details. Drive off was $824 (1st month + license).

Tustin Lexus. That was pretty much their first Email offer as I was only able to get a little more off in person. I wanted the car too bad as it was the only white on black with navi and prem around. So, I didn't try the walk away tactic where they pull you back in. I was afraid they would let me walk. They orginally wanted $1200 down and $425 + tax. I settled for $824 down and $430 + tax.

Sounds great. $5000 off msrp and under a $1000 including first payment drive off. 15k a year.

Still not bad... Thats pretty much exactly what I am looking for but I dont think ill need the Nav so that might lower my payment a bit. My only worry is my lease on my current lease doesnt run out for another 2 months. You guys think its a safe bet to wait and hope the deal doesnt expire?

I have created a spreadsheet to determine the payment on a leased when I have the MSRP, Cap Cost, Residual % and Money Factor. I now want to create a spreadsheet that gives me the residual % and money factor based off a Lexus lease special since I don't want to put down their required $3500 due at lease signing for a $349 payment. The lease details:

MSRP: $35696
Residual: $19989
Term: 36
Payment: $349
Due at lease signing: $3449

The spreadsheet I did came up with a 56% residual which should be correct and a .000254 money factor which just does not sound right. Can anyone help me out here?

Gas is still going up. We are in the midst of a recession. Rice shortages. Mortgage crisis'. 09 model release coming in August. Deals are only going to get better.

Hi all,
I have leased a 2006 IS 250 with the following details
Miles/yr == 12k
Down payment == $4500
Monthly Payment = $407 (included tyre protection)
Residual Amount = $22,000

I now have 21 K miles on the car and have maintained it in the best condition with all servicing done at the Pohanka Lexus Dealership in Chantilly, VA. I have a few questions abt the car now.

1) I do not wish to spend $250 for this 20K miles servicing? is it a big deal if i do it from a non-dealer and what precautions should i take ?
2) Does anyone know of a good place in this(NoVA) area to do this servicing?
3) what would be a few things/catch that i should look for when returning the car to the dealer after the terms of the lease ends?
4) how do i bargain if i want to keep the car?

I just leased my 2008 IS250 AWD .

MSRP: $36,885
Out the Door Price: $32,675
Downpayment: $4600
Financing total: $28075
Term: 39months
APR: 4.9%
Monthly payment of $342.87

My credit union offers special rates and the Lexus dealer was a preferred dealership with set costs on the vehicles. My salesperson was more than willing to bargain and gave me an additional set amount off.
