#1579 of 1655 Lexus IS250 RWD Help
by sharkie21

Looking to lease a lexus IS250 RWD, base model.
It seems like Lexus has a promotion of $299 / month with $4000 down ($3000 if you are a previous lexus customer - which I am not).
What would be a good monthly price for me if I am looking to do a 36 month lease, 10K miles, say $1000 down for their most basic IS250 RWD AT.
Sales tax is 7%. I should have a 750+ credit score. Please let me know if there is some information that I have not included that might be relevant to help come up with a monthly lease payment. Do I care what the residual value is or is it standard?
Thanks for all your help!

Hi Car_Man,
What is the current residual and money factor for IS250? Looking for 12k or 15k yearly mileage allowance.
Thanks!

Hey cbuyer617. The selling price that you were quoted on this car looks great, but money factor that you were quoted is a little on the high side. Lexus Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor for a 36-month lease of a 2012 IS 250 AWD is only .00090 for consumer who qualify for its top credit tier.
Try to get the dealer to use this selling price and the lower money factor. BTW, I think that the waiver of the first month's payment on leases is available for all of June, so there isn't as much of a hurry to close the deal as you may have been lead to believe.

Hi f4ng. Lexus Financial Services' June buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 IS 250 RWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00090 and 58%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Tier 1+" credit tier.
The residual value for a lease with only 12,000 miles per year would be 2% higher.
In June Lexus is waiving the first month's payment on leases of this car.

I want to share that I was able get my wife a IS350 F Sport MSRP $46k lease for 36/months 15,000 miles at $499/month with down of $3,500. At 3 other dealership, we were quoted $580-$620/month. This deal was in Orange County, Ca. (Newport Lexus) The key was our willingness to walk away from the table each time when we didn't get the price we wanted. Without this type of forum and knowledge, consumers are helpless.
