Leased it from Lexus of Ann Arbor, Michigan. What helped me was that I got a competing Lexus dealer first to offer it at $32,066. I got this on paper, and shopped around. I would hurry, because the residual dropped from 59% to 58% from March 31 to it's current value now. This little drop made a big difference in monthly payment. You would think it wouldn't, but it did. Good luck!

"Play around with them a little, spend some time, and never show them that they're the only dealership that you can buy from"...Anyway, there are three Lexus dealerships around my area, so I use one as a "walk away" location, and I called around, also I went online to get quotes, and showed them that I've had been shopping around and try to pick out the one that offers me the best price, at the meantime, I told them that I was looking for other brands too. Luckily, I ran into one that offers me a very close price to invoice within 1,500, I then knew that this is a good deal, I told the sale person that I want to buy this car but I was still shopping around, so she dropped it down to the actual final price at 35,815 fully loaded except Radar Dynamic Cruise Control(msrp 39,900, invoice 35,315)...Game over...The magic word that I used was "shop around"...hahaha
Hey man go out there and play with them be patient and I'm sure you can do the same thing too....(This forum help save me so much money, "thank you" everyone for sharing info that help me)....Good luck and have fun......

IS 350 price game by mickbee

Want to buy a IS 350, premium package with additional options, no NAV. The MSRP was $38,243. The first dealer I went to said he could only give me $1,000 off because tge car is in such demand, and we have to wait for the next magical allocation. Then he never called when he said he would, so I took my business to a different dealer. Much better experience, called me right back when he said he would, and the IS350 I want will be arriving in less than 2 weeks. But he also would only give me $1,000 off the MSRP. "Very high demand and we don't get many". After doing some research on this site (great information), the invoice price is about $4,500 less than MSRP, so seems I still should be able to do more. I suspect if I go back to the dealer for more discount I would get the same BS as others...i.e., "I have no doubt I can sell this car for full MSRP....plenty of buyers waiting." The lease terms sound crappy too...00275 money factor, 36 months, 36K miles, residual $22,940...$606 per month.

Would love to know Car Man's thoughts on the above and anyone else's.

I don't know where you live but I live in the metro Atlanta area and apparently $1000 off the MSRP is the best I can get around here. The situation in Atlanta is that there are 4 Lexus dealers (actually 2, 2 Hannesey and 2 Nalley). The first dealer I went to is Hannesey and they only offered $500 off MSRP. I think that's BS so I went to the other dealer (Nalley). This time I contact the dealer through internet and their internet sales manager called me back said he can offer $1000 off MSRP which is $36,000 (I only opt for the preferred package which is the 18" wheels plus accessaries).

Apparently $1000 off is the best he is willing to do because when I tried to negociate for more he just simply said they are not getting enough for them to offer more discount. Although he told me that if I choose the IS 250 he can do better than $1000 off. I know that the deal I get is probably not the best out there but at least it's better than the TMV price shown here in Edmund's (provide that this is reliable).

Hope this helps...

Bought an IS 350, Tungsten Pearl with black interior, almost fully loaded: lux package with NAV only, no audio upgrade (ML) and no dynamic radar cruise control. MSPR $42,200, paid $40,000 before tax and fees.

Good luck and have fun with the car!

I am picking up my IS350 on Friday it is also Tungsten Pearl with black interior and almost fully loaded. The MSRP was $43,5?? and I was able to negotiate $42,700 out the door! I brought in the consumer report which had the invoice price and invoice price on all the options. I told them that I would pay invoice plus $2,000 and nothing more, and they agreed. I live in MD and state taxes are 5%. I purchased it from Lexus of Silver Spring MD if anyone is interested. I am going through my bank for financing, so that had nothing to do with the price. Good deals can be had!!

"I just bought an IS 250 with Navigation (MSRP $36,504) for $33,791. I was told by Steven's Creek Lexus (San Jose) and Serramonte Lexus (Colma) that they would accept $3,000 less than MSRP for the Smokey Granite."

Hi, thanks for the info. I was just told by Serramonte Lexus that for the same car, Smokey Granite, they wouldn't budge from MSRP!! What a bunch of car salesmen! LOL.

Thanks for the info. I am living in the South Bay and am looking for a IS 250 w/ navigation and premium ($36,504)

Hi ccc61, I'm in the exact same boat. Same car, same dealers. The lowest price that I've gotten for this package is 33,791 but not in the exterior/interior that I wanted.
I've tentatively agreed to 34,291 with Stevens Creek for a blue onyx/black. It's coming in two weeks or so.

Did you get your car yet? Maybe we should 'team up'!
