Thanks to this board first and it is very helpful to decide the price range. I'd like to share my experience. I got 'IS 250 RWD' w/premium package, 18in-wheel, mats (MSRP $33954) yesterday.....I've read previous writing from you guys and decided the price about $2500 off.... Then I went to 'lexus of westminster' in beach blvd and did test drive(I love this car!!). And decided to buy one. As usual, the dealer and I sat down and started negotiation. He said, "what do you think about the price?" I said, '$3000 off' (simplified..^^) Then he went the manager and offered $1500 off..... I did counteroffer $2500 off.... He came back with $2200 off....it was close to my thinking. I counteroffered $2354 off....done deal!!! So, I got the car on $31600+tax+fees. It was ***total $2354 off*** I thought this price is not too bad. I did simplify the conversations between dealer and I. But, he was very kind and he made the deal very smooth between I and manager, I think. And Now,I am really excited. This car is sooooooo much better than I thought. I am completely satisfied. I hope this info. can give some ideas how to deal the price. And aftere deal, I felt I would budge off a little more. So, GOOD LUCK TO YOU !! HK I asked when 2007 model come out and he said it would be this OCT. or NOV. because I was thinking to buy 2007 one.

Thanks for all who have posted helpful information to this board. I have just jumped into the process of (hopefully) buying an IS, and have been reading through the posts. I wanted to ask anyone with experience in the DC area what it looks like in terms of discounting now. I looked at a dealer's inventory near me and see 8 IS350s, and 31 IS250s; is it safe to assume that the days of MSRP (or close) pricing from dealers are coming to an end? Is about $2500-3K off MSRP too much to think of right now in DC?
