| Looking to lease and have some flexibility as to where, either the Chicago area or in the Carolinas. Was quoted $500/month for a 36 month, 15K/year lease on a Nav w/ML premium sound system with $3K down. Is this a good deal, can I get it for less? | |

I contacted a local dealership over the phone to ask them if they had a black on black IS 250 Manual. Well they didn't but said they could get one in next week. I asked the sales person where that dealership was and he refuses to tell me...and he even told me it was because he doesn't want me to contact them. Can they do this? I could possibly save a lot of money by going directly through this other dealership. Is there a way to find out where this car is and not call every dealership in the nation? Many Thanks

Replying to: chikoo (Mar 20, 2006 11:11 am) A few notes: - was very impressed with all the lexus sales staff. Originally test drove the IS250 at Putnam....the sales consultant (new guy) was very open and helpful. Would have gladly purchased from him, but the dealership only had 2 IS250s left in stock with configurations that were different than what I was looking for. (For anyone else looking to buy, Putnam was expecting more 250s in this week). - IS250s are in demand. Of the 4 dealerships I drove to, one had no stock, one had 2 IS250s, one had a around 5 IS250s, and one had around 12. - I paid for the car outright; picked an in-stock vehicle; no dealer financing; I think that may have helped improve my price. - I'm very happy with the purchase. I had originally been considering lower-cost alternatives. I'm surprised to say, I have no buyers remorse - which is uncommon for me. The more I explore the IS250, the more I'm enjoying it. Check out the great turning radius! Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this forum...it made my purchasing decision much easier. |

I just bought an IS 250 with Navigation (MSRP $36,504) for $33,791. That is $1,500 over dealer invoice and about $2,700 less than MSRP at Putnam Lexus in Redwood City, Ca. I was told by Steven's Creek Lexus (San Jose) and Serramonte Lexus (Colma) that they would accept $3,000 less than MSRP for the Smokey Granite (supposedly the most desirable color) but I wanted the Blue Onyx so I paid about $300 more. I hope someone reading this uses this information to get a better deal. email me if you do

Aloha, Interested in comments regarding prices paid to the only Lexus dealer in Hawaii, Servco Lexus. Were you able to negotiate for less than MSRP? If yes, how much and what other considerations did you offer for the lower price? Mahalo. |

Replying to: ckletter (Mar 26, 2006 10:40 pm) Thanks for the info. I am living in the South Bay and am looking for a IS 250 w/ navigation and premium ($36,504) at the steven's creek, colma, and putnam dealerships. I have been requesting quotes online and so far have only been able to get quotes ranging from $34,394 - #34,804. In particular, I was wondering if you could go over more extensively your process of negotiating with the Stevens Creek, Colma, and Putnam dealerships. - Did you negotatiate most of the deal/price by email? - What quotes did you get from them? - What price did you offer them when you went into the dealership? - Did you ask the dealerships to match the prices with each other? - In addition, did you use the $300 off coupon they are offering at Putnam Lexus? Sorry for all the questions, but it would be very helpful if you could give me as much detail as possible. If anyone else has any quotes and or negotiating input, that would be helpful as well. Thanks! - c

sailing216, Thanks for your response. I think I found it today at the Cincinnati Dealership, well at least he said they had a black on black there. Were you originally going purchase this specific car? What did you end up getting? What kind of price were they quoting you and at what dealership?? and yes I am in Ohio Thanks
