IS 250 AWD In Maryland by paprika373

Just purchased an IS250 AWD three weeks ago. Sticker price was $35,069--only additional option was the trunk package. Dealer gave $1,500 off msrp. Of course, the car was on the lot, but I loved the color and thought the price was reasonable, given I called another local dealer and was told they wouldn't budge off the msrp. Told me to go to the other dealer if I did indeed receive such an offer. I did and I really love my new car.

IS 250 AWD IN UPSTATE NY by artredjet

Just purchased an IS250 AWD matador red, sterling interior. MSRP sticker $35069. Dealer gave $1800 off and I felt this was very reasonable. I absolutely love the car so far. Everything seemed to fall into place with the car on the lot. Made a phone offer based on another dealer's quote and they accepted. Funny thing was when I came to finalize the deal there was a couple eyeballing my vehicle and wanting to purchase it with a sold sticker on it. Timing is everything. Thanks to everyone in this forum for educating me about the IS and how to deal.
I truly appreciate your thoughts!

received the best deal at highland park lexus, although woodfield was pretty close--is250 auto, cargo & mats, awd navi-$35 + tax--2700 off list

the dealer with the least negotiating skills was bredemann in glenview--they are rather uppity and feel they do not need to negotiate. I called one last time to ask for a counteroffer, and they refused. I would definitely try highland park as they are as nice as can be, willing to negotiate, and very customer oriented.

(Plus, a very nice sales rep)

INVOICE for IS 250RWD--> $29,758
MSRP for IS 250RWD--> $33,040
MY QUOTE--> $30,000 + TAX, TITLE, ETC
(Not such a nice rep)

I have been watching this forum and the prices of the IS 250 since before December. My local dealership wouldn't budge on the price, and was initially asking $600 over MSRP; I walked and waited.

Last week, I purchased and drove away the exact car I wanted, an IS 250 AWD w/ Nav, Luxury, Spoiler, and Preferred Accessories (MSRP 40,274), for $37,150, $150 in fees, and applicable state taxes.

For the record, I love the AWD in the snow, the Bluetooth works well with Verizon but does not allow phone book transfer, and overall, I love the car.

Good luck to all and thanks for the posts along the way.

You have to decide whether you want RWD or AWD. Will you be driving the car in snow? If "yes" then get the AWD. If "no" or you have another vehicle to drive in the snow, then you still have to decide. Take them both on a long test drive. The acceleration will be the main difference.

I bought the IS 250RWD in Blue Onyx... I loved it, the sales people ended up being very nice and accomodating so I felt satisfied with giving that dealer my money... I really don't need the AWD, though I live in the north east, I have an SUV and it's not like I get TOO packed with snow.. It's great I paid 30K + tax and a few other things they sneak in but I'm very happy with my purchase... Thanks to all of everyone's comments and advice, they helped very much.

I'll be sure to post my experience with the vehicle as time goes by.

Wow that's pretty good $2700 off! I'm looking for a 350 with premium or sport package, no Nav. I'll definately try Highland Paek and Woodfield.

Thanks again, Carnag

I just got my IS 350 that I ordered back in December. I live in the Augusta, Georgia area with limited Lexus dealerships unless I want to drive to Atlanta. I ordered the 350 with the Luxury option and the Levinson/Nav option. It just came in last week. The dealer would not take even a single dollar off the sticker. They told me they had offers for more than the sticker by those who found the car in their inventory on the internet. I called Atlanta dealers and none of them have this same car and options. I'm a first time Lexus customer and I was overwhelmed by the excellent buying experience. The car is absolutely amazing to say the least even though I paid sticker for it. This is the first time I have EVER paid sticker for a car. Once I got in it, I was just happy they didn't sell my order to a higher bidder! Best car I have ever been in by far! Oh, the sticker came out at about $44,259 which is what it priced at on the internet when I built it. The only thing the dealer did was give me some free cokes and then added about $500 to the original offer for my 2003 Acura TL Type-S that we traded.
