$29,700 is a very good deal. Where did you buy the car? Can you tell more info about the dealership/salesman? My email addr is a_mountyahoo.com

Lease Quotes - Comments Please? by newride76

Hello everyone,

I have received the following lease quote from a local Lexus dealer in my area (Florida). Can I get some feedback on this from the group? I was hoping for a IS250 w/ Navigation with little to no money down and payments around $450, but this is what they sent. I'm also considering an Acura TL, which I seem to have received better pricing on (I suspect this is because of the new body coming in 2009).

2008 Lexus IS250 RWD (6spd MT)

Vehicle Base Model ..........................:$ 30455.00
18" Wheel Package ...........................$ 830.00
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----
Total Accessories .................................: $ 830.00
Destination Charge ...............................: $ 765.00
Total .......................................: $ 32050.00

Lease Term: 36
Total Payment: 441.14
Out of Pocket: 1,000.00
MSRP: 32,050.00
Residual: 18,589.00
Mileage: 12,000

Confusing Options by wolveseatsheep

Question for IS savvy folks:

My local dealer gets a limited number of option combinations on all his delivered IS vehicles:
Combo 1 . FT HL PT NV
Combo 2. FT HL PT
Combo 3. HL NV XE

On the 250 only, they also get this combination:
Option 4: FT HL

On the 350 only, they also get this combination:
Option 4: VN LT (note that VN and NV are different)

Question: Is this the way all dealers are? They have 4 or 5 standard option combos that they get and that's pretty much all you can choose from?

These combinations kind of suck for me - none are exactly what I want. All I really want is one with NV and LL - am I stuck begging my dealer to special order one or if I shopped around regionally (other nearby states) might I find some with NV and LL only?

Here's the list of options I'm referencing:

Thanks in advance for any help.

Help! finding dealer by wmaung

Hi ! everyone,
I'm new member and I would like to know how to get a decent dealer around NJ(central or north). I've been looking online forums about my interests(I'm still confusing to choose Lexus IS 350, Infiniti G37 or Benz C300), and very close to get IS 350. Recently I got a call from Ray Catina RT1 NJ through Samsclub member Auto program( I don't know how much I can save, if I used my Sam's Club card). A sale agent called me and told me t visit their showroom, but she didn't mention about howmuch(of course). She told me that these are some choices and will give me some discount because of Sam Club member. Any ways, I would like to get some suggestions from you guys how and where I can get a decent dealer. Thanks in advanced to all.

I experienced the same packaging of options at several dealers in CT and NY. I recall three packages total. In my area the inventories are high and these are selling for invoice plus doc fee.

If you are willing to travel into CT. Try Lexus of Westport. The offer that was made to me was invoice plus $299 doc fee. The have plenty of inventory (on IS250s at least) and are very motivated. I have a contact I dealt with and I could email you the deal I was offered, email is in my profile.

My wife and I opted for the G35X, although if we...I mean she wanted the IS I would not have been disappointed.

I just bought a 2008 IS250 Automatic RWD with Black Sapphire Pearl, Tan leather,18" wheels, HID lights, Premium Package, no Nav for $33,300 OTD. Car itself before tax/fees was $30,500 which is $1,100 below the invoice price of $31,625. MSRP is $35,664 +tax/fees. Basically I got the car for $5100 below MSRP.

I think I did pretty good... any thoughts?

The car is a beauty. Black Sapphire Pearl looks black in daylight, but in dim light it's a deep sexy blue. The tanned interior looks awesome with the blue. I am loving this car!
