2008 IS350 Premium+ X Sticker $39,551 by jvalha

Ok, did some test driving yesterday and loved the IS350. Naperville, IL. It edged out the Acura TLS. Sticker is $39,551 for Premium w/X package. Fist pass at pricing was 3% off sticker with the sales rep saying to come back in if I was actually going to purchase and the discount might be double that. Double that is $2,373 off sticker. What I've seen so far is that I should shoot for at least $3,000 off sticker. Is that about right? And my big question, am I better off pulling the trigger in December for the "event"?
Thanks so much in advance for any advice.

Hi,

Thank for all the information. Yesterday, I got a proposal of 2008 IS250 RWD with the $6297 package(lexus website) for 32k before TTL. Is this a good deal? Sorry I really don't know much about pricing. Thanks again.

I think its a pretty good deal, its just about what I got on my deal in Miami, with the same package but I have to pay 400 for delivery charges

I have had bad experience with fleetrates.com people. They do business. I would be careful if I were you.

Yeah, they gave me a really good deal (better than I could find around here) but when they sent the lease papers, the dealer tried to sneak in another 1,000 in fees and tell me thats the way its supposed to be!!

The dealer and the Fleetrates guys were backtracking their story but when I called their bluff to them and told them it was bullsh*t, they changed it to perfectly match the deal we made.

I will NEVER do business with them AGAIN!!

Sounds like you got a "GREAT" deal. MSRP at $38,600 and You paid $32,000? That is lower than invoice on a brand new 08, which dealer offered you this?

Well actually a friend of mine who always buys his lexus from this dealer recommended me so I think he gave me a break. I don't feel I should mention his name but you can get the same deal at westminister lexus. a friend of mine works at a dealership near my house so his dealership offered me $37 OTD (not a penny more), so I called around with that price and westminister matched it and beat it by $200. hope that helps.

sure. its basically IS250 RWD with nav. that automatically brings the price to $38,201 msrp. getting nav also includes HIDs, heated seats, trunk mat, bumper aplique, 18" wheels. i got mine black on black. just say that you called around and that different dealerships offered 37k all fees and taxes included. they should beat the price, and keep calling around till you bring it lowest you can, i'd recommend longo and westminister. well i sounded pretty frustrated over the phone so i think they were able to tell that i'm ready to buy from the lowest offer. good luck!
