Those deals sound terrific to me.
I wish we could find new IS250AWD models with prem/Nav for anywhere near $35K. In the upper midwest, where AWD models are popular, it is very difficult to find a dealer willing to sell for less than 1K under MSRP, unfortunately.

Having driven my '06 IS 250AWD with those options now for 10K miles I can highly recommend it. The suspension is tuned for a sportier ride than most other Lexus models but is fun to drive, and great in bad weather. The soft leather seats take any "harshness" out of the ride.

The IS350 was loaded. I didn't really ask for the details, but it had premium and NAVI, chrome wheels, and full tint. I was really turned off by the chrome wheels and tint, which made me less interested. I'm still considering the IS 250 AWD. It's a really good deal, but I don't know where I will be living next year (i.e. I might be moving to New York City or downtown Washington, DC and won't need a car) so it is a gamble, even though I will most likely be in a situation where I will need a car.

One thing is for sure. I currently split my living between the North and the Sunbelt, but I'll definitley be buying my AWD in the sunbelt. Dealers don't get many in, but when they do, they don't sell.

I've been reading through the posts to see deals people have been getting on AWDs to get some ideas, and it seems good. Anybody here get a recent deal on an '07 IS 250 AWD/Premium/NAV? I'm thinking I can get at least $1k under invoice around here for an AWD. Problem is tracking them down, since Lexus doesn't send many here. I don't get why. Too many consumers see AWD as a "snow thing", when in reality it is an excellent safety feature and great for rainy weather.

Also, another quesiton, can somebody tell me if these invoice prices I got off the internet are correct? They seem low, but I have no reason to doubt the Lexus owners site I got them from:

IS 250 AWD: 29,141
Navigation: 2,168
Premium: 1,764

Thanks for the help guys!

I've driven many AWD,FWD and RWD cars and sport utes in all kinds of weather in the upper midwest. If I didn't expect to drive much in slippery conditions I don't think I would go for the AWD version. AWD requires additional maintenance and a potential expensive negative is the tires. To prevent damage to the system you must keep all tires identical. So, if you damage one tire you could be looking at replacing all 4.
Also, remember that while providing excellent traction and "go power" when streets are slick, the AWD does nothing to slow you down. The VSC, Brake Assist, and VDIM systems are what prevent you from crashing into something. Those systems are available on non-AWD models.
Good tires can also make a FWD or RWD car perform much better in slippery conditions. I know of several LS430 (RWD), SC430(RWD), and ES330(FWD) owners who just use snow tires or good "all-weather" tires and seem happy with the traction they need to negotiate winter in the "snow-belt".
I currently drive the IS250AWD, and couldn't be happier, but if I lived in a southern climate, I think I would go for the rear-drive.

Hi, I asked for $34K OTD at Sewell Lexus for a IS250 w/ Premium Pkg, preferred acc. pkg, HID lights and 18" wheels. The internet dealer said the price is acceptable and she is ready to close the deal. I am sure you could try a lower price and would have a positive response. Park Place Grapevine didn't reject the $34K offer but said I need to come in to the dealership to get an answer on my offer. I think $33~33.5K would be a good starting point to bargain.

Can you share the MSRP price paid before TTL? Also what options? Do you have 18" wheels, HID, heated seats, etc?

The MSRP price paid b4 TTL was $30,054. The options that came with the car were the 18" wheels w/ summer tires, HID, AFS, Premium Package (heated/ventilated front seats, wood interior trim, & perforated leather seat upgrade), & an accessories package (cargo net, trunk mat, wheel locks).

I see.

When you say their internet department was a bit weird, what did you mean by that?

BTW, did you get any freebies from them? Free floormat, trunk mat, keychain or anything? Just curious.

I also live in the Bay Area.

wow that is a great deal! I don't think that I could do that. I would be embarrased. How did you go about that? Please let me know what the tricks are!
