There are 4 Lexus dealers in Michigan, owned by two companies. The result is near MSRP pricing. Here's the best deal I can find, after 3 days of negotiations. IS 250 AWD non-NAV. The sticker is $35,647 and the offer is $33,019+ TTL ($2628 discount) on a cash deal. They offered roughly $500 extra for my trade, which I guess is a small concession. Should I... 1) take it and enjoy my new ride with the knowledge that I will not likely do better or 2) Keep negotiating, or 3) fly to California, buy one at invoice and drive it home or 4) buy a Ford product at the known sub-invoice price? I have never had to negotiate a car price before as I've always had an employee discount, until now. Lemme tell you... this has been exhausting. I'm going to take a shower now.

I live in the Nor. Cal bay area. I got a 07 IS250 RWD Nav 18" wheels, premium pkg, HID, spoiler MSRP 38.1k for 32.2k+tax+fee. This may not be the best deal, but I'm amazed by my own deal. According to the dealer, it is more than $1,000 below invoice. In the end, the prices from this forum helped very much.
I started out with the internet and after that I visited a few dealers and had them compete to get me a better deal. I think there is a big chance that the price will go back up once the december sale ends, so people should go out there and see what they can get.. I wish you guys good luck.

Just bot an IS 250 AWD non-navi by jim7485

Tough (impossible?) to get a sub-invoice price here in SE Michigan. There are only 4 dealers within 100 miles and they are owned by just two companies. After 3 days of negotiations, I bot my IS 250 AWD non-navi today. The Total MSRP including the wood pkg, winter rubber mats and a trunk accessory kit was $35,746 I paid $32,531 + TTL : roughly $3200 under MSRP. Not the best deal for sure, but good for this area.... I was not previously aware of it, but many of the local dealers use the same trade-in wholesaler, so when I took my car to either Jag, Lincoln, Ford or Lexus they all consulted the same fella to price the trade-in. That said, I was surpirsed that the Lexus dealer offered an extra $1000. I know for certain that the wholesaler offered the dealer $3000 and they gave me $4000. I suppose it's possible that they lost $1000 on the trade which was a near-junker that they would not sell on a Lexus used lot. I don't care either way, but it inflated the sticker (good for them), while they just shifted money from one pocket to another. What a yummy car- dark red with tan leather. The whole garage smells good tonight.

The car was new and the IS 250 RWD only comes in 2 flavors, one is with nav and one without. They all have 18" rims with summer tires and luxury packages. I was working with Keys, Glendale, Westminister and Santa monica gave me the best price. I basicly got it for around $2500 below their invoice.

It looks like they gave you way to much. Audis are worth nothing.

At the Lexus dealer today shopping around. It is between the G35X and IS 250 AWD, and despite the Infinti's larger size, 100 more horsepower, and additional space, I just perferred to drive the Lexus, though I'm still a little torn. At the Lexus dealer, I got to offers that I feel are good, but I'd like people's opinions. A fully loaded premium/nav/AWD for $34k (sticker at around $41k) even before negotiating (I'm sure I can get it down a little more) or a near fully loaded IS 350 for $35k, used with 700 miles (family bought it, was too small, traded it for an RX). I really want AWD, and it is more important to me than power even though I live in the sunbelt, so I wasn't very interested. Is the '06 deal good? What do you guys think I could get it down to? It is the sunbelt, and AWDs do not well sell here. The dealer told me that I would most likely have to special order to get one down here. The colour/interior combo is not my first choice (both were dark red/beige), but at the time, the colour looked great on the car. I guess my main issue I went shopping today just to browse. I have no intention of actually making a purchase until March or April at the earliest. I'm a little torn...

That's a great deal!

Do you mind elaborating on the options you have on your IS350, the MSRP, invoice and how much you paid out the door?

I purchased an IS 250 RWD w/o Navi. plus all that other stuff they put into S. CA cars for $32,850 OTD from Longo Lexus. This is the 2nd time I went and they were always busy. They are not aching for your business which is why they could care less if you walk away.I know $32,850 OTD is a little too high, however I used a $750 off Taste of Lexus Coupon (very useful) which brought my OTD price down to $32,100. He also threw in all weather mats, a winshield visor thingy, pens, keychains, & key covers. A great experience. Get some free water and pastries while you're there b/c there's a lot of wait time. Some advice from a friend, make sure you don't buy into their "I'll throw in a free 5,000 mile service" (basically an oil change) b/c that comes with the purchase of the vehicle. The salesguy tried that line on me but he felt completely embaressed after I called him out on it especially b/c I'm a chick.
