Replying to: mjf415 (Oct 21, 2008 2:44 pm) What's to prevent me from telling them I have 35,000 miles on the car when in fact it's only 20,000? Is there a pre- sale inspection or a mileage check? I guess what I'm asking is how to negotiate the deal by phone with MBF. Replying to: jprescott1 (Oct 22, 2008 4:07 pm) Usually, when you buy a car, the seller has to fill out an odometer statement. My guess is there might be a fly in the ointment somewhere along the line, if you do indeed purchase the car from them.   But.. If I'm negotiating, and am asked for the mileage, I'd just say that it looks like I'll come in just under my allowance, without answering specifically. Maybe, they'd just assume a certain amount. Once you've agreed to a deal, then maybe no one will take notice.   But, I certainly wouldn't lie about it. They may be able to extrapolate an approximate amount from your service records. Replying to: kyfdx (Oct 23, 2008 7:04 am) Called in today. Rate is negotiable. Sounds like it's fixed out at 90 days. I got a very reasonable buyout rate. No inspection necessary. I cut a check and it's over. $27,648 out the door includes ALL fees and tax. $25,500 is base rate at maturity. 60% depreciation over 27 mos. Ouch!! I will be a cash buyer so not concerned on interest rate. My lease is up Nov 21 and the people keep calling to schedule the inspection.

I emailed MB financial from my online account for lease end options and just got quoted a buyout of 27,459 incl taxes/fees. finance rate of 7.89% for 60mos. credit union rate is 5.75% for 60mos on used car.
