Replying to: kyfdx (Oct 07, 2008 5:49 am) the "big" thing that is missing of course from the auction details are the options on these vehicles. But given the relatively close price spread, you can tell that even very well optioned cars do not command much of a premium wholesale despite possibly costing $10-20k over "base" vehicles when new.... i will post updated auction #s later this month. to those with Novembe lease ends, PLEASE keep checking and posting on this thread so we that we can all benefit and help one another. i expect to call MBUSA later this month to discuss the buyout price and see where they start. I fully plan to have recent auction #s at hand and am going to push for a buyout as close to the average wholesale price as I can. I am also curious what kind of financing they will offer....i can get 4.75% for 3yrs, or 5% for 4 yrs.

Also, got rough quote of $700 on 2009 lease, while I could afford that much of a payment I just don't think its wise -- I've been listening to Dave Ramsey too much lately.

| I've called a couple of times and they quoted a 6.99% interest rate. Anyone getting anything different? I think by the end of the month the dramatic drop-off in sales will motivate them. | |

Anyone attempted to continue their lease or renegotiate payments based on residuals? What are some of the "typical" offers on the '08 and '09 R350's? My lease is due Nov 18th. Wouldn't mind holding on to the car, but also would obv roll into a new one if the deal is good. Current lease payment on 06 R350 P1 pkg is $595/mo incl tax (PA) 10k annual miles (slightly over there). Any recent experience? |

As a comparison to using auction results to negotiate lease buyouts, I just bought an 08 R350 4M from a NJ auction. It was a MB executive lease return. It has only 3,800 miles, P2 package, no panoramic roof, showroom condition, and paid $31, 250. Good deal?
