R350 Lease Deal by andrew409

For an R350 AWD, metallic paint, with the P01 Package, 7 seat option, IPOD integration, heated front seats, and glass sunroof (not the panorama roof), I have been offered a capitalized least cost of $46,000. (This car has an MSRP $51,470).

That seems like a good deal to me. Any thoughts?

The lease payments, with $0 capitalized cost reduction, 12,000 miles per year, 33 months, should be about $635/month including tax of 7.35%. This based on a residual value of 55% and a money factor of .00075, which according to the dealer are the numbers MB is offering now under a new promotion.

According to Edmunds, the invoice is $48,200 and there is $2,000 cash back to the dealer on leases, so this offer of $46,000 is slightly under the "net" invoice.

I am looking to lease an R. The deal on the table from the dealership is invoice minus $2K in MB lease dollars, but on Edmunds.com it looks like the dealer gets $6K in support and the TMV price is about $4K under invoice...........thoughts?

Speaking with a couple of MB dealers to lease R350 AWD, P2, RSE, 7-seat, Panorama roof, ipod kit, 6-cd, heated seats.

At one dealer: Invoice $56,170 for Alpine Rain : $2450 due at signing, he came down to $699/mo (from $722).

At another dealer for similar vehicle $4700 at signing and $610/mo. Both inlcude taxes. Both scenarios strike me as high compared to what I have seen on this board. I'd be interested in other feedback.

Did the dealer quote you a final price that went with those payment numbers? Best I have been able to get to is $2K under invoice (this uses the $2K in MB lease cash), but Edmunds is reporting TMV's of about $4K under invoice.

They didn't give me the final price, but did say that they used $2k in MB lease cash.

I've been waiting to pull the trigger for 3 mos on a R350 4-matic w/ P2/pano/heated seats/IPod and 6 seater. Seems as if the prices have been going up? MSRP of 55,970...price was $589 in April, $609 in May and $619 in June. All 3 times NJ tax was included in the payment plus about $1800 due at delivery. Would have thought that the prices should be coming down w/ the 09s coming out in July. What's the story?

Thoughts?

Wow that is not very encouraging.

I wonder if it is the RSE that is killing me because every dealer I speak with tells me once they add that to the P2 pkg the monthly nut for the lease is over $700. I was hoping to stay in the $585 - $620 range and the only way that is happening is if I drop 4k - 5k up front, which for a lease is ridiculous.

the reason the price is going up is because the residuals are getting worse as time goes by. i leased at the end of december, and my 33 month residuals was 61% for 15k miles i think. i checked with one of the retail credit analysts at mb last week and it has dropped to 53%...meaning that the lessee will be paying more depreciation of the car in that 33 mo period.
