| really is unfortunate, you can't get a part. I would find out what company made it and contact them directly. It might be a lot quicker to try to purchase it directly. | |

I bought a Miata (2007 PRHT) for an entirely different reason... I could not look out the window with the top up in the Sky/soltice without ducking my head... I loved the looks of the car, thought the top design was half baked and could not live w/o decent trunk space... once I saw the new 2007 PRHT MX-5... that was all she wrote. The trunk is the same top up or down and the top itself is a work of art. while the mx-5 will never match the looks of the soltice... the driving dynamics and everyday livability more than makes up for it! now with 2500 miles on it I am more convinced everyday I made the right decision.

Like many of us, I deliberated long and hard before going with the S 2000 over the much slower Miata and the Red Line Sky. Its never easy when the cars are in the same approximate price range. The PRHT is a nice feature, although I still maintain that Mazda needs more power for the Miata. Power is not an issue with the Solstice/Sky, build quality and resale are for me. I guess it comes down to each his own!! Glenn

People buy cars based on what they read in magazines, brand loyalty (what dad drove or maybe their first car), and a combination of styling, performance, comfort, utility, economy, investment potential, psychological appeal, hobby, availability both physical and financial. Some cars eventually become very valuable and sought after because they are extremely old, extremely fast, extremely rare, extremely beautiful, who owned them or any combination of these qualities. These qualities in any combination can make a car unique. Personally, I think I would find myself in very good company with anyone who wants to own or already owns either car. |
