Replying to: manybmws (Nov 19, 2006 4:24 pm) if they couldnt adjust the door gap...I would say find another dealer....what we are finding is poor uninformed service departments....vice GM issues..... care to be more specific....oil leak or differential leak... top failed to secure in back..not quite sure what you mean squeak in dash..from where gap..can be repaired or cant be adjusted? |

Miata vs. Solstice? Just look around: the Solstice is in short supply, being sold for sticker or (more often) $1500 over sticker. That's assuming a dealer even has one. I can walk to any Mazda dealer and get a Miata in 5 minutes, and probably deal on it too......on the other hand, it is clear that GM can produce many thousands more Solstices than it is making now. The co. does not, b/c this is its status car. GM, crank out more Solstices!!

The Pontiac dealer down the street from me has had the same 3 Solstices out front for 2 months now with "Save Thousands!" written on a tag hanging in the window. One is red, one is bright yellow and the other silver. If you are in the North East, you can pretty much get a deal on any rear drive car this time of year, except the Shelby GT500. |

You can also get the car for invoice without much effort. Guess the bloom is off the rose already...how about the fools that paid MSRP or more!!...

Replying to: manybmws (Dec 11, 2006 5:27 pm) if you have owned one, driven one for an extended period of time......well, ours is over a year old now...21K on it..and still love the car......enough said.... everyone has their choice in autos...yours is apparently BMWs....I like the brand and quality...but hate the scheduled maintenance costs.....to properly maintain them

Replying to: manybmws (Dec 12, 2006 8:45 am) resale was shown for this one edmunds article....C&D or MT did a long term estimate for resale and showed it to be one of the top five vehicles....but again..I dont put much faith in any auto mag..or Consumer Reports for other than a toaster..... and I hope you are enjoying your MX-5 as much as we are our Sol.....we compared both, drove both and chose the Solstice.....but as you can see..its not our daily driver..rather are "FUN" car so to speak..... |
