We'll all be more apprised of what the new 07' Tundra has to offer when it's revealed TOMORROW at the Chicago auto show. Let the competition begin.

Sales figures dont lie. The 2007 Tahoe is a hit! 53% higher sales in Jan as compared to Jan '05. Thats says a lot especially when all SUV sales trends are going the other way. There is no reason the 2007 Silverado will not jack one out of the park too! It will just have to wait its turn. The Denali is in the batters box with the Escalade in the on deck circle. Did you see the new Avalanche? OMG! What a line up! Nothing better than doing what you do best! Thanks GM! Oh by the way that little Z-06 bad boy? Bada$$!!!Peace!!!!

For months they have been going to be at the next auto show but, so they have not been at a single one. Does any one know which auto show we will actually get to see them? My guess is GM is saving the best for last but how long do they think they can save it?

I agree, I'm a chevy man to, but tell me why in the heck did chevrolet 1500 go back to drum breaks on the rear of their trucks for? Get with the times chevrolet your going backwards. And if anyone knows I would like to know why they went back to drum breaks?

My experience (having owned 2 GM trucks w/disks and an 05 with drums) is that the drum brakes stop and generally feel better than the disk brakes did.

From what I understand, when GM switched to drums in the rear, they increased the size of the front disks, thus increasing braking power where it's needed most.

Depending on how a truck is used (i.e. if it's used as a truck), the rear drums probably make sense b/c they're better protected from the elements (mud, dirt, salt, sand, water) which tend to gum up up calipers/slides on disk brake setups.
