I get a GM employee discount and if I could get my GMS which would be about $2K under invoice with $2k in rebates I wouldn't hesitate on buying a 07' GMC Sierra Denali. I haven't called to check prices yet on the Denali as I assume they haven't been released yet. I do need to call a dealer soon if I'm going to make my move and see if they can get me a Black every option loaded leather lined model. I will get some aftermarket factory parts like the chrome gas cap, etc that I saw on the GMC site to add more bling. I figure mine with all the aftermarket options and exchanging my 3 yr. 36K warranty for a 6 yr. 100K factory warranty will run me close to $50K. So if I can get away with paying lets say $40,000 cash I'd buy one without hesitation. I will just have to see. Rocky

Mostly because he didn't have any trucks like mine on his lot (year, low mileage, condition, etc). All he had were 2-3 yr old trucks. Keep in mind, although it is a loaded SLT 6.0, including power sunroof and 20" wheels (less nav and dvd), it's NOT a Denali. If you can get into a Denali for under $40K, I will not only be surprised but a little mad and jealous. May I give my opinion on "bling"? Why would anyone want to accentuate something like a gas cap? It reminds me of the fad in the 80's and early 90's when people were putting on neon colored windshield wipers. I thought "What next?, Chrome mufflers?" But to each his own. I am putting on SSTL step bars and an aftermarket billet grill though, so I guess it's all a matter of taste and opinion. So, I won't knock it. If youlike it, go for it.

Tax, title, license, dealer fees, and optional equipment extra. http://www.gmc.com/sierra900/denali/index.jsp I would assume a fully decked out one with no factory accessories will be mid-high $40's. I'd say close or around $47K loaded out. Rocky

Test drove an 2007 4wd ext cab Rado today. It is greatly improved over my 2003 Rado, steering is perfect, better control over bumps, very quiet. I dislike the new interior gages, too much plastic chrome. GM, This is a truck, not some blinged-out pimpmobile. The old interior was straightforward, easy to read gages, please bring it back. While you're at it, please bring back the Protec composite bed. I absolutely love this option in my truck. No dents, rust or cracks in 3 years and now Toyota is offering a composite bed. GM had this option years ago and really needs to market this again or risk falling behind Toyota. |

Replying to: rockylee (Feb 13, 2007 7:01 am) My Silverado is coming in on on Thursday or Friday (2/28 or 3/1 ) It was not the 10 to 12 weeks that I was told, more like 6 to 7 weeks. I think the dealership looks at the build times as a way to keep the customer happy. If you're told 10 weeks and it's here in 7, it seems to be a reason to get excited. I'm happy, but getting a new Porsche would get me excited... Anyway, I'll be picking it up Saturday or Sunday and will post my impressions in the next week or two. I have never owned a truck but will be comparing it to a Chevy Tahoe, 2002 and a 5 series BMW 2004 as far as build quality, ride etc. See ya, Chromedome |

Just took delivery of my 4x4 Sierra Crew Cab SLT in Onyx Black with Gray interior. Everything except the 20in wheels and the nav/DVD. Excellent ride and handling, very quiet with good power. Interior quality is much improved, even over my 06 XL Denali. The remote start is very nice but a few easy things are missing on the new design- FOB key, dual lock on the climate zones (you have to adjust each one individually), and better organized compartment system (no sunglasses holder and one HUGE glove box with no trays, etc). And the audio sound is typical Bose/GM, way overrated and not worthy the money but okay. The audio head does give you the ability to mix/match XM and FM stations on the same set of presets. One innovation that they did not miss was the aux input for your ipod - GREAT idea! If you buy the SLT, make sure you get the Goodyear ATV tires, makes a noticable difference in the ride. Wheels are okay but there are no chrome or other alternatives unless you want to go to the 20s which just looks a little too big. All in all, a great truck and a great redesign. Already had several people stop me and comment on how good the truck looks.
