I did also wonder about the 10 to 12 week delivery date . However, I believe it was due to when they placed thier orders. Also my experience has been when you order a vehicle you are told at the time of order placement that it will be a little longer than they anticipate. My truck is being built starting February 16, 2007. I have a feeling I will have it by mid-March.. So 7 to 8 weeks is more like it. Maybe a little more transit time out here to San Diego, California. Anyway, just as long as I can get it and put on the break-in miles before I travel with my Airstream to Montana this summer all will be well.

FYI,
I ordered my 2007 GMC Sierra SLT Crewcab with the 6.0L on Jan 22nd (4 weeks ago) and was just notified today (Feb 17th) that it was built yesterday and is in transit. I should have it in about 2 weeks. I live in MN, assuming it was built in Canada, not positive though.

I am a new member and hope someone can help me. I just bought a 2007 Siverado 1500 Classic Z71 4x4 with the LT2 trim package. I just had to refill the tank for the first time and can't figure out how to reset the information for the fuel quantity. I read the manual and it says bring the message up and hold the button down for one second. I tried that but it didn't reset. I did drive away from the pump and then parked to reset it. Is that the problem?

Bring up the information that you want to reset. Then, using the bottom button (the one that tlooks like a check mark) hold it in for one second and the values will be reset to zero.

Rocky,

I do have a GMC on order, but not the Denali. But I will say that Edmunds.com's numbers, both MSRP and Invoice, were VERY close to the dealers.

Have you shopped them yet? What numbers have you been getting?

My nearly fully loaded GMC Sierra SLT 4x4 Crewcab 6.0liter (loaded with everything except NAV and Rear DVD) numbers were:
MSRP: about $43K
Invoice (which I paid): about $39K before 2k in rebates.

Hope this helps.

jreagan,

So you only paid $37K pal ????

If so you got a killer deal.

I get a GM employee discount and if I could get my GMS which would be about $2K under invoice with $2k in rebates I wouldn't hesitate on buying a 07' GMC Sierra Denali.

I haven't called to check prices yet on the Denali as I assume they haven't been released yet. I do need to call a dealer soon if I'm going to make my move and see if they can get me a Black every option loaded leather lined model.
I will get some aftermarket factory parts like the chrome gas cap, etc that I saw on the GMC site to add more bling.

I figure mine with all the aftermarket options and exchanging my 3 yr. 36K warranty for a 6 yr. 100K factory warranty will run me close to $50K. So if I can get away with paying lets say $40,000 cash I'd buy one without hesitation. I will just have to see.

Rocky,
Yep, I paid 36,929 after rebates. Plus, my dealer offered me $2500 more for my trade than any other dealer in town. ($11,500 vs $9000). Mostly because he didn't have any trucks like mine on his lot (year, low mileage, condition, etc). All he had were 2-3 yr old trucks.
Keep in mind, although it is a loaded SLT 6.0, including power sunroof and 20" wheels (less nav and dvd), it's NOT a Denali. If you can get into a Denali for under $40K, I will not only be surprised but a little mad and jealous. I was under the impression that the Denali's would be selling in the mid-upper $40's.
May I give my opinion on "bling"? Why would anyone want to accentuate something like a gas cap? It reminds me of the fad in the 80's and early 90's when people were putting on neon colored windshield wipers. I thought "What next?, Chrome mufflers?" But to each his own. I am putting on SSTL step bars and an aftermarket billet grill though, so I guess it's all a matter of taste and opinion. So, I won't knock it. If youlike it, go for it.

Well I was quoting $40K assuming I was able to get $2,000 in rebates. I highly doubt those rebates are available on the Sierra Denali though. I'd probably be able to knock-off $7K give or take $500 though using my GM employee discount. However if they were you could look at about $8-9K off.
