Replying to: bobberino (Dec 28, 2006 7:58 pm) Regarding the 4.8 versus the 5.3 with fuel management. I had an 05 Silverado with the 4.8 and had all the power I needed. Average gas mileage was 17.5. Now I have the 2007 Silverado with 5.3 and fuel management (2,000 miles) and have an average MPG of 14.5. You do the math. I drive alot of highway miles and do not pull anything.
