Hey 07tahoeguy...I can only wish my local dealership was as good as yours. I was waiting to update you tonight on what happened to me.

Dealership called me late yesterday afternoon and said all my parts were in so I scheduled an appointment for first thing this morning. Got a call this afternoon that my "Z" was ready and that I can pick it up. I asked my Service Tech what they did to it...And he said that they did NOT replace the module as they said they were going to do, but instead since no other "events" showed on their computer diagnostics, they searched and supposedly found an issue with a ground wire!!! They said they contacted GM and was told to NOT replace the module but instead fix the grounding issue and have me "watch" the vehicle closely to see if I have this event take place again!!!!

The Tech told me that the module costs about $1,400 and they (GM) didn't want to start replacing them in everybody's truck if the problem really is only a grounding issue. Not to sure I believe my Tech but I guess I will give him benefit of the doubt.

They also didn't fix my dash as they said that GM still had not sent them any of the replacement clips that are needed to hold it down correctly. From what I was told, this is a common problem and is known by GM that it needs to be fixed...Just like the "L" window molding coming loose on the outside rear doors/windows. Was told that I would be notified as soon as GM supplies them with the parts to fix these 2 items.

I will keep a close watch on my module issues and immediately report any new findings that I have. If anybody else out there has an issue like mine and 07tahoeguy's please let me know.

Hey Yukon7...Had my LTZ in the shop today for some what was supposed to be "repair" work (see my posts above to 07tahoeguy). While it was there, I had them install one of the facia covers. $118 later I have it installed and it looks great...HOWEVER, it's VERY FLIMSY and can easily be moved around and knocked off center.

Is your's this way too??

Is there anybody else out there that has this facia installed and it's not very sturdy? Based on the service and answers I've been getting from my local Service Department (again, see my post above) I'm kind of wondering if they may have just half A$$ed installed this cover!!!

If you all could let me know how snug/secure your rear facia cover is I would greatly appreciate it.

2nd Row Bench Seat Problems....... by 07ltz

Has anyone with a new 07' Tahoe had any poroblems with the 2nd row bench seat? I am having a hard time getting the seatback up once I fold back down the seat. It seems to work better when I slam the seat back down in place but still does not work all the time. I have to put the seat up and down a few times before it allows me to fold the seatback up to its normal position. I don't seem to have any problems with the bucket seats however. Any solutions or known problems out there?? Thanks in advance!

I like my new 07 tahoe LTZ but when I turn the steering wheel from a stopped position, it makes an awful squeaking sound. Not sure if it is the steering wheel or the steering wheel shaft. Anyone else have this problem?

Not hearing the sound I am guessing. there is a rubber boot on the steering shaft under the hood. the boot rubs the shaft and causes it to squeak. It all depent how bad it is to repair it. Little lube or replace the boot all depends. hope this helps.

It sound like your right rear latch is handing up on the 2nd seat. There two ways to fix this. On the floor you have two horse shoe clamp that the seat clamp on to. You might want to bend the inside clamp right side to the front of the truck. Or adjust the seat cables it take just a minor adjustment. If the dealer don,t know how to fix it. have them contract lear seating and they can give repair fix.

07ltz. I had the same problem on my 2nd bench seat. It took me about 3 minutes to get the seat back up again. I think it just needs a little breaking in. After flipping it up and slamming it down a few times, it seemed to work better.

I have an '07 Escalade, and it has a similar issue. The service tech says it is a safety issue. Unless the seat base is fulled latched, the backrest won't go up, so that a passenger won't be catapulted upward should there be a frontal collision (assuming the rear floor latch isn't properly locked). Even with the seat belt on, there could be enough upward movement to squash your spine before the lapbelt stopped the motion.
