Short term news is positive, but is it sustainable? Two months' data isn't very much. Seems the market has shifted well towards the cross-overs.

Yep, I think GM was surprised by the numbers as well. The way gas prices are going, the shift may pass cross-overs to subcompacts!

However many of the crossovers are only getting 22 to 25mpg. The new Tahoe is rated at 22mpg(2wd) or 21(4wd). Not much of a difference. If you toys that need to be pulled, the crossovers hardly cut it.

Now at the same time, I've been researching Honda Civics... so I know what you mean on gas prices.

Note to Host: Edmunds has hwy mpg at 18 for the 07 Tahoe. Needs updating....

Hey rockin,

Got an update today on my Tahoe. District manager for GM was contacted by my dealer and told the fact that they can not get the replacement modules was unacceptable to both the dealer and myself. Manager went direct to the part supplier and had it shipped to the dealer. It arrived today and they are attempting to get it installed and running for pickup tonight. My dealer is the number #1 in the state for car sales volume that may have helped. Good luck with your LTZ.

Anyone can send a Contact form, so anytime you see something that needs updating, like the mpg, please let us know.

Hey 07tahoeguy...I can only wish my local dealership was as good as yours. I was waiting to update you tonight on what happened to me.

Dealership called me late yesterday afternoon and said all my parts were in so I scheduled an appointment for first thing this morning. Got a call this afternoon that my "Z" was ready and that I can pick it up. I asked my Service Tech what they did to it...And he said that they did NOT replace the module as they said they were going to do, but instead since no other "events" showed on their computer diagnostics, they searched and supposedly found an issue with a ground wire!!! They said they contacted GM and was told to NOT replace the module but instead fix the grounding issue and have me "watch" the vehicle closely to see if I have this event take place again!!!!

The Tech told me that the module costs about $1,400 and they (GM) didn't want to start replacing them in everybody's truck if the problem really is only a grounding issue. Not to sure I believe my Tech but I guess I will give him benefit of the doubt.

They also didn't fix my dash as they said that GM still had not sent them any of the replacement clips that are needed to hold it down correctly. From what I was told, this is a common problem and is known by GM that it needs to be fixed...Just like the "L" window molding coming loose on the outside rear doors/windows. Was told that I would be notified as soon as GM supplies them with the parts to fix these 2 items.

I will keep a close watch on my module issues and immediately report any new findings that I have. If anybody else out there has an issue like mine and 07tahoeguy's please let me know.
