Replying to: tom213 (Jul 14, 2007 2:10 pm) I have a 2007 Yukon purchased on July 2006. I just called the Nav Disc Center and they are sending me my updated discs!! The dealer that I purchased from last year did not inform me of this program. Thanks for sharing as this will allow me to use my savings towards performance upgrades! |

Hi: I just bought a 2007 Denali and was wondering about how often we should get an updated map disc for the navigation system (living the phoenix metro area - the roads are always changing and new ones being built) - ARE THEY FREE??? How often do you get them and from who. Does somebody have a phone number? Thanks - Christina

This is not the best way to do it, if you ask me. A new disk could become available right after you purchased and you'll have to wait a full year to get a database that will get replaced again just as you're getting the one year old version!! Oh well, they're free. As I said in my first post, you can keep NAVTEQ updated on road changes in your area like I'm doing here in OKC. Eventually I'll be driving home from work on a displayed road instead of what used to be a wheat field I see now on the screen!

Replying to: tom213 (Jul 18, 2007 5:53 pm) Y'know, we have a 2002 Infiniti with a NAV and we still find that the Original Nav disk still works just fine. Over time there usually aren't significantly enough changes for most people to notice. Of course if a new freeway or highway opens that's something different...
