Hi Gregg,

I looked and did find those recommendations on the CD size...

Do you, or anyone else, know that if following this specs stops the clock from disappearing? No sense in re-doing my CD if its not going to make a difference...

Got a lemon by zepres

Hi, any lemon law expert out there?

We bought a 2007 LTZ Tahoe last year. Love the vehicle until it started to leak tranmission oil. Dealer attempted to fix it 3 times. Now it's leaking oil again. Called GM and was told to take it back to the dealership. Dealer said they were transmission leaks but in different places so it's not considered the same issue. What a bunch of BS!!!

We are seeking legal remedy. Any advise is appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,
No, haven't tried any experiments other than when I put a disc with about 300 MP3's on it, after a short period of time the clock disappears. After removing the disc the closk re-appears after re-starting the vehicle a short time later. This is the only time I have seen this issue.

Good luck,

Hi,
Sorry to hear you are having some issues with your vehicle. There is a lot of electronic content in these newer vehicles which is a double edged sword. Some of the "software" was not perfect when the vehicle was launched but the updates are easy to download into the vehicle. I've had the jump start issue 2x but GM has updated software to address this issue. As for the radio, onstar, dvd, door chimes, etc these all are part of the radio system. If you keep having the issue push to have your dealer replace the radio unit. Rattles are a pain and it sounds like you have a specific issue with the tailgate. If your dealer can't help you, go to another dealer. Some are more competent than others.

Good Luck,
- Gregg

Wiper Arm by jjmjgnx

I've had my Tahoe for a year and recently when I used the washer fluid in the front I noticed that an extra stream was coming out near the base of the arm. The fluid hose had a little cut in it from rubbing against the air dam when the wipers were on.

I told the dealer I need a new hose, but they said they had to replace the arm. I had the arm replaced and it's completely different. It looks huge. It sticks out more and is a higher up because of the way it curves. They said that the replacement part for the original arm was changed for this new style. The new tahoes on the lot did not have this new arm. I don't like it, but they say they don't have the original style. I'm having the other arm replaced to match because it looks really bad. I'm surprised the idiot who put it in didn't notice the huge difference.

Should I go to another dealer and see if they have one in stock to compare?

It was stated on another forum that there was a TSB out for your problem that just involved putting a foam spacer around the wiper shaft to help support the hose. Not sure why they would put a different arm on. Does it still use the new clip-on wiper blade? Maybe they put on the previous style, tho not sure they'd fit.

Same wiper blade.

Actually I looked at a closeup picture of the 2008 models and they have this wiper arm. So, I guess there using what they have for the rest of the '07's, but the '08's get the new one.

I still don't like it. Not sure how to get an old arm.

That's about what I get. have about 12000 miles. Everyone kept telling me that I'd see an improvement after a break in period. Never saw a change.

Also, I discussed this on this forum just under a year ago and we discoverd that tahoes with higher axle ratios tend to get better mileage. I have the lowest ratio of 3.43.. There were some pretty good results reported by tahoes with ratio of over 4.

Also, we found that, while driving on a flat road, and setting cruise control at a speed ranging from 35mph to 50 mph while having tow mode active, the motor operated in v4 constantly. Kinda cool!!
