Wow 17.5/14.5 I wish! I have an 07' Sub w/ 4.10's and can't do a tenth over 12.5 city or 14.0 highway. With these numbers I wish I had gone for the 6.0L option.

Yukon Hybrid? ANYONE?

Hey gang:
I would like to start some discussion on the Yukon Hybrid. Does anyone have any information on this vehicle? I live in the St. Paul area (Minnesota) and have recently been depressed by calling local GM dealerships and have them say "Yukon hybrid?" These dealerships have NO IDEA that the GMC website has the Yukon Hybrid and this truck has been on the internet for over a year.
Does anyone have a realistic date for release and any pricing information?

aron2, sorry to hear about the problems. Bottom line, I hope they get fixed once and for all by your dealership. Per your post, I say its mostly your dealership who has dropped the ball, where they should have fixed all those bugs as a part of your vehicle prep before delivery to you... Anyhow, congratulations and enjoy your new Yukon; its a pretty nice SUV comparing to my EX 2000 Land Cruiser.

I think your dealer is being a BUTT.. Go over their head and call GM.. ask for the CEO.. you may be surprised.. find out when the recall was sent out and if it was before you got yours I would raise hell with them. Its not fair to be treated that way.. the buyers are a reason these people are even in business.. They should lend you a car too.. Good luck and stand your ground..

Does anyone have information on when the 2008 Tahoe will be announced and available? I am hoping some of the bugs from the '07 will be fixed and the Tahoe will possibly be available with the 6 speed transmission. I am ready to purchase now, but want to see what has been improved on the '08s.

One thing for sure I would do is when you get the Customer Satisfaction Survey in the mail about your purchase experience with your dealership, tell it as is and how your were treated. The second thing I would do is to insist on getting a free loaner car while your's is in the shop; perhaps first findout from your GM contact on how long this recall repair will actually take, so you get an idea if your dealership is being fair to you priority wise by keeping your car for the entire day. Third, if you have a choice, think about getting your Yukon fixed else where. Good Luck to you!

aron2, I just call my dealership about the Recall ID #07007 (which is about the Battery Rundown Protection Re-program of the BCM), I was told it should only take about one hour; but, in some cases they have ran in to minor issues where they had to re-do the programming a second time, so 2 hours at the most.
