I find wet arm wipers work much better than fixed nozzle ones. Mine (07 Tahoe) sprays the length of the wiper blade. Sounds like part of your nozzle might be clogged. Might have your service dept check it out.

'07 Tahoe-Leaking sunroof by xavierherrera

I noticed a few drops of water leaking from the posterior part of the sunroof of my new 2007 Tahoe. I took it to the dealer and they were able to reproduce the problem. I was told by the service department to be "normal" in this model as the sunroof has some kind of drainage. I live in the desert and don't get too much rain. Last week experienced downpours and the leaking got worse to the point of getting the fabric wet. Took the car to dealership for second time and got the same answer: There is a "drip pan system" and some water will leak from the gasket to the drip pan and channel out of the car. I even poured water on another new tahoe from the lot and the same thing happened.... My car is getting excessive leaking and will be looked at again this week. I am still not convinced of this "new engineering" as I did also notice condensation of water on my windows as a result of moisture from the leakage. My recommendation DO NOT PURCHASE SUNROOF OPTION with the '07 Tahoe (Suburban, Avalanche, etc). I am very curious to see what other owners are experiencing, especially those living in temperate areas.

I have not had any sunroof leaking. I think that the dealers are giving you a line. It's not normal for a sunroof to leak into your car!! I've never heard of this. I wash mine once or twice weekly (I have to - I have white and the liftgate gets so dirty. A design flaw? I can't take it to the car wash for fear of them wrecking the "hockey stick" molding on the back doors. Another design flaw? Yes!!) and really spray on the roof. I've also been through one rainstorm since I've had it. No leaking. Great Rain sense wipers, though. Very sensitive - always wipe just when I'm thinking they should. And yes, weird speeds on the rear. The long delay is way to looonnnggg.
On the tire sensor issue. I had my optional 20" chromed. When they put them back on, the left front didn't reset. Now I have the light going off and the DIC telling me to check the sensors. My tire is pumped up!! I can see this and don't need a computer to let me know!! What a pain to have to take it in for this. The wheel place wouldn't take responsibility. Said the dealer would have to fix it. Not exactly warranty work though. However, the wheels look awesome!!!
One other "customizing" item I recommend - take off the awful gold bow tie on the rear!! It was $150 for the local body shop to take it off, fill in the holes and repaint. The best $150 I've ever spent. It looks fabulous.

The dealer is correct in that the sunroof is supposed to drain... but not inside the vehicle! I think it drains down inside the A or B-pillars, this is by design.

I haven't noticed any leakage from our sunroof inside our Suburban.

You need to push back on your dealer and GM to fix your vehicle, there should be no water leakage into the vehicle. Maybe the drains are plugged (fine dust/sand?) or incorrectly installed, have them checked. They should be able to add water to the drip pan and observe the pan empty and drain out OUTSIDE the vehicle. Sometimes dealers don't want to spend the diagnostic time or don't know what to do so keep complaining until the issue is resolved.

Also keep your Tahoe well ventilated - water can cause all sorts of issues - smells, mildew, mold, rust, so keep it dry until it's fixed. I'd throw a piece of plastic over the sunroof to keep the water out if possible.

Good luck

Technically the drain *is* inside the vehicle. The sunroof itself is the outer panel in this area. The drain is under it (but above the headliner) and is supposed to, as you say, carry any water making it past the seal out through one of the pillars. This is also pretty much a standard OEM design on most cars built in the last decade or so. Before that there must've been many more problems with the water getting around the sunroof, because my father used to avoid them in any vehicle for that reason. Since they haven't invented a perfect seal that will last forever, a drainage system to handle the water that eventuall does make it by is the next best thing.

Your father was a wise man. Besides the leak potential, they are notorious for malfunctioning. Good luck to all with sunroofs.

About how much does it cost to get the 20" chromed?

I really like the design and polished aluminum is OK but my idea of polished aluminum is something very close to chrome. Chevy obviously has a different idea.

I've had the service department look at it and they say it is working fine. I would believe it was clogged if it was just one side but its not its both.

Do you know if there is anyway to increase the pressure coming out of the nozzle?

2007 Tahoe rear air problem by frantic180

I have 2007 tahoe thats 2 weeks old. For some reason the rear vents just blow out air.(cold air when its cold out and hot air when its hot out) I can't change the temperature of what comes out, hot or cold. Everything works fine up front. Its has the tri-zone air system. I've tried controlling it from up front and from the back.

I assume you turned on the rear system? It's the AUX button on the climate control panel up front. Sorry if this is a stupid question but "AUX" wasn't obvious to my wife that this meant the "rear" climate control system. I'm sure AUX makes sense to a GM engineer but not necessarily to the normal folks out there. If the AUX button isn't on the rear system won't heat or cool I believe.

Otherwise bring it back to your dealer for help.
