Electrochromatic outside mirrors by greggboston

Hello,
Are both outside mirrors electrochromatic or just the driver's side? We are noticing that only the driver's side mirror dims at night, is this normal? Our sticker implys both mirrors are electrochromatic however a friend said GM usually just has the driver's side mirror with this feature.

Gregg,
Just the driver side is electrochromatic. Most vehicles are only driver side, some of the luxury cars /suvs are both but not a lot. On the gauge issue I don't find them that hard to see, but I like driving with my fogs on anyway. I figure more lights allow others to see me better. Driving here around DC you need to be seen b/c most people are idiots and drive like maniacs. I do like how the needles have little red lights at the tips that "project" out onto the gauge; it definitly makes it easy to see what speed you are travelling at at night.

It seems the Sirius board has moved or been deleted. Has anyone seen any new info on when Sirius adapter will be out. I am in the 4 week of my 3 month free XM trial and really want my Sirius back. I have actually not cancelled my account with Sirius, I had it in my '03 Liberty. I really don't like paying for somebody else to listen to my Sirius but I don't want to cancel because I prepaid for the year. Well, once it comes out whoever is driving my old Jeep will get in their car one day and not have Sirius anymore and probablly think the radio is busted. I kinda wish I knew who had the Jeep so I could warn them

Air Shock issue with LTZ by junglegeorge

New problem, has anyone had a problem with the auto ride – air shocks on the LTZ’s? Mine stopped working this AM, normally when I hook the trailer up the compressor raises the rear of the truck to compensate for the tong weight of 300 LBS. I hate to take it to the dealer if it is a simple fix. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks George

I recently replaced the factory wheels and tires on my suburban. went to 22" wheels, problem is the sensors on the DIC system keeps going off. I went thru the steps of re programming the system, didn't work. Maybe I did it wrong?? Any suggestions

Thanks, it took a couple of days but my dealer has stated the same regarding the mirrors.

As for gauge daytime readability I haven't noticed an issue. My only concern in this area was that at night the Nav screen was a bit bright and I found that couldn't dim the gauges enough. I went in a adjusted the Nav screen brightness/contrast and now it seems acceptable. The Nav screen also can be totally shut off if desired, done that a couple of times.

Rear Wiper delay, how's yours working? by greggboston

I find that the 2 rear wiper speed settings are next to worthless. When it's raining the fastest setting isn't fast enough to keep the rear window clear (4 second delay if my memory is correct) and the slow setting (16 second delay?) is way too slow for mist situations. We have the rain sense wipers which are great for the front (highly recommended option), not sure why GM chose to only give us 2 lousy rear settings. My old Ford Explorer had 2 settings but they seemed to be the correct delays to handle rain & mist. We have the Suburban, I'm guessing the rear delays are the same for the Tahoe... Maybe the 'burb needs different delays than the Tahoe?

My Tahoe rear speeds are approx 25 sec on delay and 6 sec on continuous (?). When I asked service about this, they said that was normal. I agree that 6 sec is a little long in heavy rain conditions.

As for the RainSense on the front, they must have changed the software because the RainSense on my 2002 TrailBlazer LTZ worked better.

Windshield Washer? by upsman90

Does anyone else's windshield washers only seem to wet the bottom half of the windshield? I have a 07 Yukon SLT. The dealer is telling me that its normal but I need to be doing about 80 to actually wet the top of the window and even then it's not that good.

I would love to know who's bright idea it was to put the washer ports on the wiper blades.
