I purchased the cupped rubber/vinyl cargo mat from my GMC dealer for $55.00. It has worked out great and has never allowed liquids or other unwanted mess to get on the carpeting in the cargo area. There are many options available that have been discussed in this forum in past months. I would send a picture, but I haven't figured out how to attach a photo into this forum. |

Replying to: twernst10 (Sep 23, 2006 1:35 pm) Now maybe you (or someone else) can help me with my install. I tried today to pull off the plastic trim around the radio and could not get it off. The top popped right off (next to the radio) but when I got down next to the climate control panel it seemed to be attached there firmly - almost like it was part of the climate control panel itself. Any hints how to get the trim off? -- Gregg Boston, Mass

Replying to: greggboston (Sep 23, 2006 6:03 pm) It is a pain to pull off. I actually found a wood/wax carver with a small thin blade and wrapped it in tape. There are like four clips that hold it on the side. It may be 2 or 3 on either side. I started in the bottom right corner and then worked my way along the bottom and then up the sides. For some reason the middle one felt like it held tighter than the rest. But with some pulling, and patience I was able to pop the last one off. I had a buddy help just to make sure I wasn't doing anything stupid, like just grip and rip. Thanks to all for the ideas, I called and emailed Costal yesterday, but I don't think I'll get a response until Monday or Tuesday.
