Replying to: rhame13 (Sep 20, 2006 6:05 pm) I, too, could go on and on about how much I love my Tahoe. Such an improvement over my 03 Z71. This is my 4th Tahoe, and the best, by leaps and bounds. I'm willing to overlook any minor annoyance like lack of storage, no coin holder, or not being able to use the cd while my son uses the DVD (I listen to XM anyway)because there are so many improvements. Have fun!! |

So I called to place my order, and was told that charcoal is the right color. I also verified that if they didn't match I could send them back for a full refund. Fortunately, as you can see, charcoal is what I needed, and what you want.

Replying to: steve_ (Sep 20, 2006 12:08 pm) I will check my email and make the edits. I was unaware of the policy but now that I know I will follow it. I am very happy with my 07 LT 3 w/ all the bells and whistles. But more importantly since I was on the sales side I really wantedd to share how great my dealer and salesman were. I know how hard it can be to deal with salesman and GSMs; so I was "completely satisfied" with my sales and delivery process. Any way I look forward to future post and continued use of the knowledge I find here. Thanks to all for the help so far. |

He has another customer right now but starts the process of my trade evaluation anyway. I am so anxious I can't sit still and spend the next 45 min pacing around the dealer floor or hanging out outside. All the while my girlfriend is busy working from her blackberry and papers she brought from the office. My salesman takes my Jeep for a drive and over to the Used car Dept. I inform the GSM that the Jeep is actually in my girlfriend's name(speeding ticket last year forced me to "sell" it to her) and was this going to be a problem for trade in purposes. His reply was not a problem just we would have to buy it from her if she isn't on the title for the new one. So I talk it over with her and we agree to add her name to the new title, she wasn't paying anything so no sweat for her. My Salesman comes back we a number that is fair but a little low for trade and suggests we go to CarMax to sell if they are giving us a lot more. I had the trade appraised CarMax end of July for $1000 more than he was offering but also added 3000 mi since then. So it is now 6:45pm and I tell my Salesman ok we are heading out there and will be back around 8:30 to finish the deal. He sighs and says "8:30?!?! Ok." To which I reply well look if you bump my trade by $500 I won't go. Now I sold cars and I know that my trade is worth more than either CarMax or Dealer is giving; but both are fair offers, not insulting. So he "asks" the GSM and the GSM wants to get out earlier than later so he says, "Cowboy up lets get it done." So, We finish the paperwork with my Salesman and he takes us to the FM and she says the the GSM told her to sell anything I want for $100 over cost. You know it is nice when you don't have to bicker, banter, or argue over what is fair for all involved. So I got an extended 5y/75K mi warranty at a good price and they make a little money. I will recommend Jim McKay Chevrolet in Fairfax, VA to all. My Salesman helps us move stuff over from the Jeep to the Tahoe when I discover that the cargo cover doesn't fit, he tries it and realizes it is for a Suburban not a Tahoe. He says he is sorry and the guys in prep should have caught it; we agree on a "We OWE" sheet for a new one and everybody is again happy. I finish with a walk around and my Salesman is following me around with his hankerchief cleaning every spot I touch. I show my Salesman how top operate the remote start on my Jeep, and he shows me how to operate the remote start onmy new Tahoe. I truely believe he wanted to see us happy and was thankful for our business. So, I drove to work yesterday after spending 15min in our driveway just playing with her. What a dream to drive I can't wait to read every manual cover to cover. I kept my girlfriend up last night because I wanted to read the small feature booklet before I went to sleep. With 80 miles on her I am very happy and am looking forward to installing the NAV/DVD bypass. Will update after that intstall and test. |

| I'm trying to find a cargo mat to cover the entire cargo area when the 3rd row seats are removed. My dealer says GM only has a cargo mat for the small area behind the third row seats. Can anyone help me. I'm trying to cover the whole area to accomodate my very messy dog! | |

If not, go to PremierMotoring.net and work your way to the "Floor & Cargo Mats", and make sure you get the right type/size. Specificallly for a 3 row vehicle with 3rd row removed. Dave

Replying to: sffullmoon (Sep 21, 2006 9:31 am) I simply purchased the cargo mat for an '07 Tahoe LT (they don't come with the third row seats) and it just sits in over top of the tracks and all in the back with the seats out. It is made from a kind of heavy plastic/vinyl and has a curled lip all the way around to help keep everything on the mat when you take it out as well. Hope that helps! |

Replying to: sffullmoon (Sep 21, 2006 9:31 am) As an FYI, I removed my third row seats because I need to haul items in the back more often than I need to make more room for people. I purchased the cupped rubber/vinyl cargo mat from my GMC dealer for $55.00. It has worked out great and has never allowed liquids or other unwanted mess to get on the carpeting in the cargo area. There are many options available that have been discussed in this forum in past months. I would send a picture, but I haven't figured out how to attach a photo into this forum. |

Replying to: zeeman84 (Sep 18, 2006 1:39 pm) I think I read that the current $2,000. rebate runs thru 10/2/06. Anyone hearing that they may up the rebate (back) to $3,000.? I know a local dealer that has 46 LT3s and LTZs sitting on his lot. Roadready |
