Hi, just wanted to report that I had dealer replace the door handles on my LTZ with GM Chrome Door handles. Money well spent!!! $150 part + $80 labor. I think they are much better than the taped-over types.

Tire Pressure Sensors and changing wheels by scottycameron3

I just changed my stock 20" wheels with some new aftermarket ones. Problem is the Tire pressure sensors are located in the old valve stems, and now the TPIC light is on. Went to dealer and they said there is no way to bypass or disconnect Tire Pressure sensor system. Has anyone else experienced this and came up with a fix or solution without changing valve stems out?

I bought a 2nd set of sensors for my new wheels and kept the stock sensors in my stock wheels.

went to discount tire and for $20 per wheel, they took the sensors from my 17" wheels and placed them in the new 20" wheels - went ahead and purchased free replacement certificates for the tires as well

Are the second row seats removable in the 2007 Tahoe?

The second row is not removable, but folds flat (or close to it). The third row is removable, if you have it. I'm not aware of any current SUV that can remove the second row. Then again I'm not sure about the captain chair models (2 seats in second row).

Dealers...do they need to make it this difficult??? by tykel

So my wife and I went up to the GM dealership to look at the 07 Yukon after doing a LOT of homework and research. I get the supplier pricing ($200 below invoice) and in Aug the rebates were -$3000 off of that. So we could not find one that had what we wanted to they looked around and then said they would "build/order" one for us.

So placed the order on Aug 5th...they cashed out deposit the next day. This was a "Time Sensative Order" since the rebates ended on Sept 5th and they had NO idea what they would be...

A week and a half go by and a girl from the dealership calls to confirm the options I wanted and "make sure" I didn't want white wall tires??? And ordered the car the next day!!!

They call to let me know the Yukon is ready for pick up on Sept 8th...3 days after the rebates drop! As if they didn't know. I went up to pick up my deposit check...they would not honor the original rebate price...tryed to sell us on the car...and now want to "hold" the car until Oct 2nd when the rebates will change again.

They order the car 1.5 weeks late and the car shows up 3 days late...not their fault they claim.

Tykel,
I too ordered my 07 in August while the $3000 rebate was in effect and fear that when mine gets finished I'll have no to no incentives available. I think I resigned myself to this when I purchased it. I used to sell Jeeps so I know that if the factory isn't giving any cash the dealer probably won't. But I was wondering if they told or indicated to you what the Oct 2nd change might be. With gas prices dropping by the day I fear that incentives might "hide" away for a little while. Any way they are begining to build mine today, and it is my girlfriend's B-day so today is a pretty good day.

I am at a loss to figure out why your dealer would want to jerk you around like that. My dealer went out of their way to make sure I got all the rebates possible including the military rebate I did not even realize I was in line for.
I guess they wanted to keep my future business.

It all comes down to management. You can find a dealership with great management and you can find a dealership with poor management. Also, it depends on the relationship between management and the salesman. If they aren't on the best terms, management isn't going to go the extra mile to help out the salesman to keep his customer satisfied. Sounds pretty sad, but it happens all the time.
