Where did you buy you HID's from? How much did you pay?

I wonder if you could use the OEM resonator to muffle the sound a bit?

You mean "Mexican Vehicle with American Corporate Office." I might move down there so I can get a job without fear of Layoff.

Hey Hawkeye...That's a GREAT price for the 6/90 GMPP! I paid $1,540 (plus tax) for a total of $1,647.80 for my 5/75 plan!!!

Do you live in the state of Florida by any chance? I was told that the price of these plans are regulated by the Insurance Commissioner here in Florida...But it sounds like you even got a better deal than me!!

Hopefully I too will be refunded a few hundred bucks. We'll see.

Not only no coin holders, there's no place to put jumper cables, tools, flares, etc. Of course it does have a console that you can practically live in but no provision for CDs. Go figure.

rockin_ltz: If you ever need a GMPP go to www.gmoutlet.com and speak to Allen Black. This guy and the his dealership are the real deal. Straightforward and honest - a nice change from the normal dealers around here. They are based out of PA - I live in Texas.

1.Use the control remote (point it on the infrared receiver of the DVD player) to turn it on without having to eject the DVD.
2.You can play the DVD and use the headphones while playing the radio on the car speakers

I bought one at the local Target and dropped it in the abyse that we call a console.

As for jumper cables, I put mine under one of the second row seats. They are hidden and out of the way there. One other place would be where the jack goes but thats not easy to get to.

Another feature missing for a few model years now is the lock on the console. I carry my .40 cal in there and am very uncomfortable with not being able to lock it up.

Also, in my old pre-2004 model the headrests used to move forward and backwards. That was a REALLY nice feature that they removed to improve profit.

Sure, GM is adding some very visually appearling features, but it seems all the really cool features are disappearing. It's time to speak up. GM holds surveys and such thorughout the country and a select few are invited to participate. If you are one of them, come here and jot down some notes to take with you. Maybe when they get it in writting they will listen. I would have gladly paid another 50 bucks for the better headrests and 10 for the coin holder and console lock.

I could not agree more. I am building a raised cargo floor (2-3 inches) for 2 reasons: 1. to store cables, tow strap, tools, flashlight, etc. 2. to get rid of the stupid 3rd row seat guides. They had a perfectly functional system in the 04, why did they see fit to ruin the cargo area with this plastic? Keep an eye on Console Vault they are designing a secure console liner for the o7, had one in my 04, it was great. George

twernst10, the model # for the unit i've read about is SIR-GM1. some of the specs i've seen indicate it is for "2003 & newer" GM vehicles. other specs indicate "2003-2006" as you have apparently seen too. it might be good to check with your local audio/stereo installers or electronics store - or even the GM dealership. this is the sort of thing i would personally pay a shop to install. please let us know what you discover and how you like sirius/sir-gm1 if you do get it. best regards...
