Have you heard back from the "company rep" regarding the bypass? Also. does anyone have the contact info for this person at GM (or someone else) that can give me status?

No mods at all. I have 1500 miles on it. Had it for about 6 weeks. I put 250 miles on it on one trip that was a little over half highway and half back roads ant I got 18.4. I'm getting constant low 17's. I drive between 60 and 70, no quick starts. My RPM's hardly ever go above 2000. I would like to get 18 or so in mixed driving.

Just picked up my 07 LTZ yesterday, I bought it out of state and had a 100+ mile trip back home on 55 MPH state highways. I put another 115 miles on today mixed interstate and city driving. Happy to report 17.4, not bad for the first tank. I will report back after the I hit 1k. What’s everyone doing for Cat back exhaust mods? I am looking for a relatively quite free flowing system to help boost MPG. Sound is secondary. And last of all, has anyone installed a set of leveling spacers above the front springs, looking for feedback. Thanks George

Ok guys I got the latest about the 2007 Tahoe Onstar Interface.

All this information was provided to me via email and by phone!

First I did a research about the whole thing ABOUT adding a whole aftermarket sound system.

First like 3 weeks ago alot of people told me that the Interface it's still under development. And about a week later I found this information about it!

It was posted in 4-19-2006.

Click this link!
http://www.jltroy.com/downloads/GM%20Lan.pdf

Please keep reading.!

So this means it's a LAN data bus thing!

And if you looked you saw that it says that is under Development right? But dated 4-19-2006

So I sent an email this guy at Metra Elec. And here is what he sed.

" If you are bypassing the Bose system, then yes, we have a harness for
> you, GMOS-LAN-01. You will need a SP-2003 speaker as well, and you
> will have to slightly modify the GMOS-LAN-01. Please call Tech support "

He also sed that Lan bus thing it's on some 2006 Chevy models so they add it to the 2007! So this means that the interface for those 2006 model with Lan Network will fit the Tahoe 2007!?! SO we can have the Onstar working !?!..

Finally he sent me another Email....

" Yes, if they can get the harness, and they have the knowledge to
bypass the amp and modfy our piece.

The interface has been out for about a month now, but I would assume
because of the high demand for it, and the fact that pre-orders have to
be filled first, it will some time before you may get one.
The parts explained below, 99-3305 or 95-3305 for the kit and 40-CR10
for the antenna adapter is all the parts needed. 99-3305 is for single
DIN installs whereas 95-3305 is for double.

SO here you have it guys!!!

It took me a few weeks to get all this fresh info and of course I am posting it here for you.

Now I will be at this guys's shop tommorrow where they normally install all my sound systems and let them know about the information I got for the 07 Tahoe and they might be able to install my Eclipse sound system withing weeks.

If you have something that I do not know OR if I am wrong in something please let me know, becuase we are all here to help each other and make it right by gathering the right infrormation.

Thanks for reading,
FJ

Automatic seat recall difficulty by dallgower
Jul 13, 2006 (6:20 pm)

I just bought a Tahoe LTZ last week. I have read the owner's manual over and over and I can't seem to solve a problem. The issue I am having is regarding the driver's sear position recall. I have my preferences set to memory position 1. When I stop the car the seat moves back to the Easy Exit feature. When I leave the car and lock it and then unlock it when I get back in, the car moves from the Easy Exit position to a different position ( I believe it is the memory 2 position). So each time I get back in the car I have to press the 1 memory button. I have the auto seat recall feature turned on. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Devon

For some unknown reason, GM no longer puts a number on the back of each key fob that tells you what position it goes with. I had the same problem and discovered that I was using the fob keyed to memory #2. Switched fobs and everything works as advertised. What I don't understand is why the seat moves forward as soon as you unlock instead of when you put the key in. Haven't found a way to change that.

Try your other remote. My '07 Denali has the option of linking the different remotes to the two different settings. You have to turn this feature on, but maybe this will work. SJ

Hey guys,
I've been looking for the luggage rack cross bars to fit my 2007 tahoe, but have had no luck. I remember seeing it once on the auction site, and so i'll probably try checking back with that, but could anyone direct me to a site that sells them? Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much for the help - got it figured out now. I wonder why they don't mark each key fob differently?

I hear a slight "squeaking/clicking" sound from the seat belt adjuster everytime I go over a rough patch of road. Anyone having the same problem?
