Full time 4 wheel drive is only on Denali and Escalade with a 6.2L motor

Oops, sorry 'bout that. I was looking at the Suburban specs and not the Tahoe. You are correct about the engine and drive train. However, full time all-wheel drive is standard on the Suburban LTZ, likewise the 6000 engine.

I still stand by my statements. Please point me to where you see the LTZ suburban coming with a 6.O and full time 4-wheel drive? I anxiously waiting.

There is no Suburban LTZ (Zee not LT2) that comes with the 6.0 and AWD standard.

The 3/4 ton version has the 6.0, and has trim models of LT1,2 and 3. The 3/4 ton version also uses leaf springs (LT1,2 and 3).

However, the 4WD is optional across the entire Suburban line.

These specs are available at www.Chevrolet.com.

There is nowhere on the chevy site that the LTZ is full time and a 6.0. You "can" special order the 6.0 on the 1/2 ton now for an LT3/LTZ

" ENGINE, VORTEC 6.0L V8 SFI with Active Fuel Management (366 hp [272.9 kW] 5500 rpm, 380 lb-ft of torque [513.0 N-m] 4300 rpm, aluminum block (Requires (M70) 4-speed automatic transmission, (GT5) 4.10 rear axle ratio and (Z55) Autoride Suspension Package.)(Requires 3LT Preferred Equipment Group) Code: L76"

This is not on the Chevy site yet, and there was no cost associated with it yet.

Another tidbit I just saw
as another note on the LTZ you can do the assist steps too

ASSIST STEPS, POWER-RETRACTABLE Code: BRS
invoice MSRP
  $825.85 $995.00

What chevy needs to do is put the 6.0 mated to the 6spd transmission, on the LTZ Subby. I ended up buying the '07 Escalade because I needed that combination for towing. I didn't want to wait for the Denali, and I'm not crazy about the looks of it.

Unfortunatly, I did not realize the stigma that comes with having an Escalade until after I started driving it. Don't get me wrong, its a great ride, but ....

Easy Mod for Rear Emblem by cecook

Alright all there is a solution to finding a cheap, chrome rear bowtie. Take a small screwdriver and carefully pry the gold lid from the shell of the factory rear emblem. Underneath it is a chrome, outlined bowtie that looks great. I say be careful when you pry the lid off because the screwdriver may ding the chrome underneath it and show the scuffs. Email me for pics.

I just recently purchased a new '07 Denali. It is far superior for towing then my previous Yukon. I pull a 4500 lb boat/trailer with ease now... Great tow vehicle.

Has anyone added Sirius to their vehicles?

OK, let's try this one more time. The engine and drive specs I mentioned were from the 2006 Chev Suburban promo book. Sorry 'bout that. Seems they have made some big changes in the specs for 2007.

Storage by jjmjgnx

I love my Tahoe LT3. Getting just over 17 MPG in mixed driving. My only complaint is storage. I know about the little compartment in back on the left side and the jack is hidden away under the cup holders in the back, but what about the right side. Has anyone taken off that flat piece where it looks like a cup holder should go and see if there is room for storage?

22 mpg highway sounds pretty good for one of these beasties.
if the gasser gets 22 mpg with cylinder-shutdown i wonder how much better a duramax with cylinder-shutdown would do? those are 6 cylinder engines though aren't they? running on 3/6 or 4/6 cylinders might not be so smooth :|
